We hand-picked it because we love it. So will you.

We love all the hard-toiling, passionate, craft distillers of the world. But the Garrison Brothers stand out in that crowd. You see, they don’t farm out anything. Every step from cooking the mash to bottling happens right there on site at their distillery in Hye, Texas. They make Bourbon in a range of ages and finishes, but it all started with the famous "barrel #6" that yielded their signature Texas Bourbon Whiskey.

Their limited editions have bourbonites lying in wait, guns cocked. And this one rides into town with particular pizazz. Hand-picked by Uncle Flaviar & Master Distiller Donnis Todd, each Single Barrel bottle is manually dipped into silver wax and meticulously numbered — there's only 80-ish bottles to a barrel, and that's if the angels haven't been too greedy. Then there's the custom Flaviar label we're oh-so-proud of. And that classy pewter Lone Star we just can't take our eyes off. We haven't even gotten to the best part: The delicious 4YO juice that's in there. Just writing about it makes us all mouth-watery and warm inside.

Tasting Notes

Appearance / Color
Dark copper

Nose / Aroma / Smell
Butterscotch, corn, oak, vanilla, and that spicy nutmeg & star anise hit the nose in an epically well-rounded fashion.

Flavor / Taste / Palate
The delicious sweetness continues on the palate with caramel and honey notes joined by fruity apples & pears, as well as some gentler floral and rye spice notes to round it off.

Finish
Those flavors stick around for a while and are joined by the tiniest whiff of cocoa, leather, and cherries, making for an immensely drawn-out and slightly warming finish.
