Top reviews for Frérot Extra Cognac:

— It was powerful when I first poured and tasted it. Then I let it breathe for 10 minutes and it was heavenly. I could definitely taste the raspberries and it was really great to try something that was aged for 30-50 years. I'm 47 so I think its kind of cool to try a bottle where some of the liquor is older than me. Not sure how many chances that will happen the rest of my life. I commend Flaviar for releasing with a bottle this old at such a fair price point.

— Simply the best! So fine and so exquisite. Im not big on Cognac, but this is simply a poetry inside of a bottle. XO all the way.

— My first experience drinking cognac (usually a bourbon guy) and I have to say this really impressed me. It’s so smooth and easy to drink that I had to stop myself from having too much in one sitting. Smells sweet and the initial taste is that way too. Long, smooth finish. Might have to grab another bottle since my first one might not last long!

Don,
Good cognac for the price. I have had much better, but a much higher price. Not a big cognac drinker.

Dan,
Very smooth, some depth, overall great flavors

Kevin
Kevin,
Good cognac. Very smooth finish and easy to drink, not as fragrant and thinner than other fine cognacs that I really enjoy. Overall it’s good, but a bit overpriced. I can get a bottle of Hennessy XO for less cash and it I like it better.

Madonna
Madonna,
Taste was excellent but too much burn as it went down. I dont like things that burn my throat.

John
John,
Disappointed in depth of flavor and finish. Harsh nose. Not up to my standards of a fine XO cognac.

Susanna
Susanna,
This was the best cognac I have ever tasted. It was smooth and full of character.

Chris
Chris,
I know nothing about Cognac and only bought this to try it alongside an episode of #NightCapLive. I'm also not a huge Brandy fan. That being said this blew me away. It was so smooth and so exquisite in nose, taste, and finish. Absolutely the soul warming liquid your dreams think Cognac taste like. I really can't fault it. This bottle should be your Christmas staple.

Ezekiel
Ezekiel,
This is truly one of the most delightful beverages I've ever had. A sweet, datey nose and a smooth, slightly spiced and fruity finish. Whether you've had cognac before or not, this is one that you should snap up and try before it disappears.

Burn on the nose not on the tongue. Very smooth and delicious.
