Four Roses is a legendary Kentucky-based distillery that was built in 1910 in the style of California Wineries – it's even listed on the National Register of Historic Places. One of the six distilleries allowed to operate during Prohibition, their Kentucky Straight Bourbon offering became the top-selling Bourbon in the United States after the bleak era was over.

Today, vintage Four Roses are extremely sought-after delicacies. Exhibit A: this 1965 bottling extravaganza, which is a blend of Straight Whiskies, aged from 4 to 6 years, boasting a complex and unique flavor profile.

is the fermentation process by which a percentage of a previous fermentation is added to a new batch as a "starter" to get the fermentation going and maintain a level of consistency from batch to batch. A sweet mash means that only fresh yeast is added to a new batch to start fermentation.
Four Roses is the only distillery we are aware of that uses single level storage rick-houses to age their core Whiskey. They do this because they believe that variations in temperature, pressure, and humidity within multi-story warehouses makes for inconsistent Bourbon.
Moonshine Whiskey is distilled from a varied mix of corn and sugar and is aged in Mason jars and jugs for the length of time it takes the customers to get home.
Corn Whiskey is a commercial product that must contain at least 80% corn, be distilled at less than 80% ABV (160 proof), and, if wood-aged, may be aged in either used or new un-charred barrels.
An un-aged American Whisky is often called “white dog.”Sour Mash is the fermentation process by which a percentage of a previous fermentation is added to a new batch as a "starter" to get the fermentation going and maintain a level of consistency from batch to batch.
