This might be the best Manhattan you’ve ever had.

Fluid Dynamics is another tantalizingly unique line of specialty spirits developed and distributed by Craft Distillers. As we’ve said before, Craft Distillers works closely with a tight-knit group of industry veterans to mix and marry the products that they produce in their Germain-Robin Distillery with other bits and pieces. To say that they have a long history of building successful products and brands is an understatement.

Fluid Dynamics currently has four, barrel-aged cocktails in their lineup. All of them are made with nothing else, but the best ingredients only. For the Fluid Dynamics Rye Manhattan they start with ~74% of their award-winning Low Gap Rye Whiskey and ~26% Andy Quady’s Vya Sweet Vermouth. The mixture is aged in small casks for an additional six weeks and bottled without bitters (aging bitters strengthens them, so add a dash yourself if you wish). We keep seeing reviews where regular folks proclaim it to be the best Manhattan cocktail they’ve ever had. And you might just say that same thing too.

Rye sparked the first revolution after the American Independence. It was called the Whiskey Rebellion, and it arose when the government tried to tax Whiskey and enforce the taxation on distillers. The lesson here? Don't mess with a Whiskey drinker's dram.
Rye - think of it as Bourbon's edgier cousin. It’s known for what many call a spicy or fruity flavor. Rye (distilled from at least 51% Rye) is not on the sweet side and tends to have a spicier body. That’s why the character of a cocktail made from Rye, instead of Bourbon, is drier.
A decade ago there were only 6 brands of Rye Whiskey hailing from Kentucky, nowadays there are more than 50!
George Washington famously loved his Rye Whiskey. In fact, after he served as the first president of the United States, he returned to his farm at Mount Vernon and started a small Rye distillery of his own.
