Top reviews for Flor de Caña 7 Year Gran Reserva:

— Rum is usually third or fourth in my list of favorite spirits, but this stuff is awesome. It's so smooth. It's price point is much lower than Whiskey/Scotches of the same age and it is exceptionally mellow. It is easy to shoot but also makes the best Pina Coladas I've ever had.

— Very smooth. Goes great on the rocks, or complimented with lime, mint and some club soda. I love that it’s affordable, less than $20 (be on the look out!). However you enjoy your rum, there a place on your shelf for this vintage. Cheers !

— A tad bit sweet but nothing close to the likes of Bumbu “Original”, perfect for mixing or drinking by itself

Jeremy
Jeremy,
A bit sharp with a heavy finish, but for the price its pretty good rum.

Matthew
Matthew,
THis one is fine for cocktails, but the nose has too much acetone for me and nothing about the flavor really stands out. There are better rums for the same price.

Paul,
Good to the nose but the flavor is a little lacking straight. Might be better as a mixer.

great with coke, just right for mixing.

Jason
Jason,
While I tend to use the younger FDCs for cocktails this one I think is better neat. It's amazing how much quicker rums age/mature than bourbons or scotch due to the weather/climate difference.

Kelly
