Farthofer Nackthafer Oat
Stuart,
Detested this. Very harsh. Some strange flavours and smell. Couldn't drink it. Gave it away.
Farthofer Nackthafer Oat
Daniel,
In terms of taste, its definitely more Irish in its character than Scottish. You do get some of the described notes of caramel and vanilla, but it is quite a harsh whisky and so that can overpower the palate. It probably needed longer to mature before going in the bottle, although saying that I have tasted worse. For the price though, theres better out there. Much better. And on that note, its only a 50cl bottle instead of 75cl, which further lowers its value.
Farthofer Single Grain Oat Whisky
Juergen,
much of pretty good stuff: hazelnut, toasted grain and and a mouthful of grain. love it!
Farthofer Single Grain Oat Whisky
Antti,
It is an outstanding, rich, Single Grain Oat Whisky with a delicate birth, rich life & brief death!
Farthofer Single Grain Oat Whisky
Katherine,
I don't know why this one is rated so low. I think it's not that bad. It's closer to a rye than a schnapps, though. It may be that the description is throwing people off.
Farthofer Single Grain Oat Whisky
Mathew,
Different. It has a bit of an apple scent to it. There’s a strong line of toasted grain through the drink with vanilla sweetness around the edges. Something about it feels a little unrefined.
Farthofer Single Grain Oat Whisky
Martin,
A pleasant fruity sweetness like a dried fruit salad.
Farthofer Himbeergeist
Katherine,
Creamy and mild. Very little spice. Would be nice paired with raw fruit.
