Andrew,
why can you not buy the sample that you liked?
Jennifer,
Smooth and yummy. Nice apple and vanilla notes. Pleasant mouth feel. Kind of creamy.
Mathew,
Toasted grains and hints of apple on the nose. I get a bit of oak up front followed immediately by sweet vanilla and maybe some chocolate? Then a whisky bite and a long sweet finish. Interesting. Worth trying at least.
Brad,
The Grain is smooth with not much heat or bite. It was good but in my opinion no more than a single. If you pour a double the ice will over power the drink rapidly. Unless you just turn it up of course.
Shawn,
Good tasting notes, nice release
Samuel,
Very smooth with a fantastic aftertaste that sneaks up on you. Take your time when drinking this to experience the whole range of flavors.
Johan,
Very soft and subtle. Strong vanilla but spicy enough to not be bland. Very pleasantly surprised.
Chris,
Jumps out on first sip but mellows after. Strong vanilla with mild orange peel. A touch of water made it softer with more chocolate.
Joseph,
Not bad. Slight after taste
Bill,
Very sharp first sip. More vanilla appeared after that. Added a splash of water and it softened with bright vanilla and warm round tones.
Rory,
The first sip was harsh... nearly vodka-like. A small splash of filtered, room temperature did a world of good. The difference was astounding as this scotch transformed into a warm, inviting drink. Lots of orange and chocolate and a very pleasant vanilla finish. I'd gladly have another dram.
I rarely, if ever, drink my scotch anything but neat. This may challenge me to revisit some old favorites to see what a splash will do for them.
Rory,
*filtered, room temperature water
Scott,
great
Frederick,
I love this whiskey, beautiful vanilla, smooth taste.
David,
Nice and light. Smooth taste with vanilla finish.
Mark,
Good. Bright. Lemon zest
Nicholas,
Yes
Danek,
Smooth
Michelle,
Beautiful. Subtle. Smooth
Craig,
Very smooth with great flavor.
Benjamin,
A very interesting scotch, light and sweet, but more like a bourbon than a Speyside.
Nose - honey, vanilla and caramel, with some musty notes that are typical in scotch.
Taste - light sweet honey, some dark fruit and a bit of orange zest.
Finish - silky and sweet, fades fairly quickly.
Jason,
Seriously the best Whisky.
Mark,
Hints of vanilla and port, chocolate, nutty finish
Lori,
Smooth. Easy to drink. Nice chocolate note after a few seconds.
Richard,
Good middle choice between the Malt and the Blend, could definitely pick up the vanilla
Dan,
Very nice.
Rich,
I am a complete nube at this, referring to flavor spiral, I can pick out the vanilla, get the nutty, don’t understand the beer part. Smoother finish as I went through the tasting.
Nakeva,
Well done on blending sweet and grain. Couldn't decide what I was tasting but the after flow was nice.
Richard,
Smooth, buttery, sweet, delicious, in-offensive. Flavor wheel says, beer, I guess I can see that, I definitely get vanilla, and can see where milk and chocolate come from. Has orange and apple notes as well. A great dram, I would buy a bottle for the home bar for sure.
Raymond,
Surprising sweet tip, then BANG! Strong, bold finish. I love the supplied flavor image. It really helped me explain it to my brain! I really likes this one.
Derreck,
Smooth smell and finish
Jesse,
Insanely smooth and easy to drink. Still complex and balanced.. but damn that is delicious.
Wesley,
I found it thin and single dimensional. I thought the finish was short and a little tart. Regrettably I could not detect any of the vanilla prominently featured in the flavor spiral shown here. The flavor spiral included in my sampling was more accurate to what I tasted. It featured beer as the largest flavor. I agree. If you like a rich, thick, sweet whisky this one is not for you.
Matt,
Smooth and complex. Truly exceptional.
Antti,
It is a very good, delicate Blended Grain Scotch Whisky with a long milk chocolate death.
Shawna,
Strong nose. A little thin on the mouth. Taste is smooth and vanilla-y.
Jefferey,
An excellent dram, light on the nose and palate but complex, opens up very well indeed with a drop of water. Very long finish that opens into orange zest and honey
Jeffrey,
Good! Smooth. Could not taste the beer or port. Would buy this one
Eleazar,
It has burst of flavor in each sip. A bit intense at first but great drink all the way through!
