Elmer T. Lee

Elmer T. Lee became the master distiller at the Buffalo Trace Distillery back in 1949. His image decorates every bottle of his namesake Bourbon.

It is a single barrel Bourbon — which means that even thought they follow the same formulas and procedures, bottles from different casks will taste different.

The main line Elmer T. Lee is a four year old expression (but they have issued longer-aged limited editions here and there).

It is a premium Bourbon at the lower end of the premium price scale and 45% ABV. It has notes of walnuts and butter toffee with oak and a bit of orange zest. The finish is dry with trailing spices and more woodiness.
