Michael,
Had always, always downed Tequila as a shot. Thank you Flaviar for teaching me that Tequila should be sipped. On that note, El Mayor was smooth and sweet.

Thomas
Thomas,
Smooth & fruity. The caramel sweetness hangs on until the finish - which is perhaps lacking a little depth. Picked up on the touch of pear as per the tasting notes, which was interesting. Nice clean sipping tequila - would happily add this to the drinks cabinet.

Angela
Angela,
The best tequila out of the 3 tastings. Sweet tasting but prefer clear tequilas over dark.

Slight medicine flavor. Fruity forward. No strong wood flavors.

Smooth going down and flavorful from mouth to belly! Nice for sipping and paired well with my cigar.

marlynn,
Clean nose. Heat and agave forward. Taste of mango and orange zest. Pepper finish with an oak/agave linger. Very complex. Would buy again. Sweeter than expected

Bruce
Bruce,
Delicious. Mainly sweet and caramelly with hints of vanilla and brown sugar, undertones of Agave

John
John,
It’s a tequila I can enjoy by itself cause it just tastes good. Lots of hints of fruit and super smooth

Raymond
Raymond,
With dark fruity aroma and a fiery cinnamon start, notes of dried dates develop into develop into a funky, woody finish and lingering sweet burn. El Mayor Añejo has all the qualities I like in an añejo tequila. Good for sipping or mixing.

Amethyst
Amethyst,
This is an awesome Tequila. I really loved it. This Tequila starts off with the fantastic woody and light pear smell you get when you open the bottle and when pooring. You know, the one you can only get from a fresh picked pear, with no bruising! Then comes the taste, when this Tequila first hit my tongue I got, what I like to call the wake-up call, a slight bite, which consisted of a mild crisp pear, a hint of grilled wood, light spice and mango, followed by a light fruity sweetness as it flowed down the back of my throat. I can definitely see why this Tequila is highly rated as a sipping Tequila! ENJOY!

Shant
Shant,
Delicious! It's like walking through a pear orchard and while getting smashed. It has a sweet pear flavor and slightly smooth (there is a slight bite but not overwhelming). Get drink to unwind after a long day.

Great Tequila. Flavorful and just enough spice.

Susan
Susan,
Just getting into the southern border spirits. Of the three from the tasting box I enjoyed this Tequilla best. I found it to be a sweet with a bite on the end.

Chris
Chris,
A fantastic tequila for the price. Would definitely recommend.

Lelia
Lelia,
I like this tequila. Nice agave nose, subtle sweetness on the back end. Not as smooth as I like in an anejo and a bit more sweetness would have been nice. Nice economical sipper. Little mouth burn, not much. Nice heat on the chest. Would buy for the bar. I like a bit more oiliness when the sweetness is not a focus. great nose. Will try in a made from scratch margarita with a side car of el mayor to cut the sugar.

Antti
Antti,
It is a very good, clean, 100% Blue Agave Tequila with a delicate birth; while a juicy life; leads to a light & rich death.

Raoul
Raoul,
Nice, soft and obvious oak and vanilla. Agave is obvious, but more on the background. Decent example of an anejo. Would have wished for a little longer after taste though.

Corey
Corey,
Soft, easy to drink. Caramel and nut. Vanilla notes

S
S,
Decent anjeo. Drinks smooth but no major revelations. Mixes well but just ok neat

Vincent
Vincent,
Very smooth with a good after tase of almonds.

Anthony
Anthony,
Very good tequila for the price. Generally 29-32 retail. Rivals its big brothers in taste and complexity. I love tequila and found this one to be better than casamogas or don Julio in my opinion.
