Small production, big heritage, great Scotch.
From the smallest distillery in Scotland comes this unique Highland malt Whisky that was hand-made by three men, who are completely dedicated to the classic techniques of Whisky making. The distillery in its core has remained unchanged since its opening. Petit in production-size, it is only capable of producing 12 barrels a week (around 2800 litres). What they produce in a year a typical Scottish distillery produces in a course of a week.
Needless to say the art of making Whisky at Edradour is a mixture of nature, tradition and background, with a keen generation of still men. They may be small, but their heritage is as big, or perhaps even bigger, than many of their competitors'.
Edradour 24YO Pedro Ximénez Finish 1985 was distilled in 1985 and matured for 24 years. Then it finished for 6 months in cask that previously held Pedro Ximénez, a sweet Spanish dessert Sherry made from raisins of the Pedro Ximénez white variety grapes. It was bottled at cask strength in 2009 and only 682 were ever made.
