A classic Highland-style dram with a great Rum-like character.
Located in Perthshire, Edradour Distillery calls themselves "the smallest distillery in Scotland.” The entire production is run by two men who can produce a maximum of only eighteen casks per week. That’s a small fraction of what the larger distilleries crank out. But they still manage to produce no less than 30 different Single Malts. Basically, Edradour is a small-batch distiller where two Whiskey-loving blokes spend their days tinkering and experimenting with their Highland Single Malt spirit to make a bunch of small-batch wonderfulness.
Aged in ex-Sherry casks, Edradour 10 Year Old Distillery Edition is the primary Single Malt of their line. In many ways it’s a classic Highland-style Single Malt with a sweeter, fruit-forward flavor profile. But it also has a beautifully full mouthfeel and an almost Rum-like essence. Why? Darned if we know… Ascribe it to the magic of local earth, water, and air that makes each Single Malt unique. And we think every Whisky-loving bloke should have this tasty dram on their bucket list.
