Matthew
Matthew,
Color is amber. Nose starts with rye complexity, though not the black pepper spiciness of true rye. Underneath are sweet notes of buttery wheat and a floral/earthy note. First sip starts with the buttered toast of true wheat whiskey, however, it is quickly followed by a complex aroma of floral notes, vanilla, and an array of spices that don't really fall into the black pepper or baking spice category. Mouthfeel is on the oily side, which goes well with the buttery flavor. Finish is a mild extension of the spice. Overall a nice, unique flavor. It would be very interesting to see what happens to a higher proof and/or longer aged expression.

Alex
Alex,
If you could turn this into a candle, you’re house would smell incredible... That being said, you don’t drink whisky for the aroma, you drink it for the taste. Unfortunately, the taste does not live up to the aroma. My wife has a hard time drinking whisky neat, and she can knock this back like it’s a glass of water.

Matt,
Pretty good, but also nothing special. Loses a lot of flavor as the ice starts to melt.
