With rare collector's expressions, you're not just tasting an epic Spirit, you also get a taste of its rich history, filled with legendary distilleries of the olden days, several of them now silenced or completely shut down.
With this incredibly rare Bourbon from Dowling Distillers' Collector's Item series, you get to taste the incredibly rich history of the Bourbon distilleries that helped make it. This one was first distilled in the spring of 1953 at the James E. Pepper Distillery, a historic site, formerly known as the Henry Clay Distillery, which was resurrected following the repeal of Prohibition. The Distillery then closed down 5 years after this was distilled.
In the spring of 1969, the juice continued its epic journey at the Boulevard Distillery, where it was bonded and bottled at 16 years old. And just 2 years later, Boulevard was purchased by the Austin Nichols company, now internationally known as the Wild Turkey Distillery.
