Generally, being sucker punched is a bad thing. But in the case of this 31-year-old Scotch stunner, the heavy Sherry force behind this Speysider sweetens the blow. Now, the Glen Grant distillery has been around since… forever. But one thing’s for sure: this rare expression that was distilled in 1976 (and bottled in 2008) won’t be.

One of only 196 bottles that exists, this 58.6% ABV Scotch is practically liquid gold in a bottle.

James 'The Major' Grant was a great innovator. He was the first man in Highlands to own a car. He made Glen Grant the first distillery with electricity.
The light style of Glen Grant is a result of purifiers that The Major installed. The tall stills and the purifier also resulted in the light color.
Scottish violinist Scott Skinner composed music for the violin, as a tribute to the distillery. The Strathspey (a lively Scottish dance) titled “Glen Grant” was composed on the 24 of April, 1909.
