Nose / Aroma / Smell
The aroma is fruit first with note of lemon zest, honey, peach, and grasses.
Flavor / Taste / Palate
The flavor profile is a classic, 1960’s-era Scotch profile with a bit of caramel laid over some smoky peat, wild honey, and oak.

Top reviews for Dewar's White Label:
— I consider this to be THE Scotch for aperitif Scotch-and-soda. Yes, it's not in the same category as single-malt powerhouses such as Lagavulin 16 or Ardbeg Ugadail (both some of my all-time favorites for neat sipping or just savoring the aromas over a long evening), but the White Label can hold its flavor, even with soda and ice, which makes it ideal for the early evening pre-dinner cocktail -- fresh and unassuming but not a wallflower.
— The Best whiskey under $20. The perfect balance of what makes scotch special. Sweet and peat in perfect harmony with one not overpowering the other, and just when you think it may be too light, the smoke hits you. This should not be so cheap and underestimated.
— It’s like you were drinking a bonfire, but only the smoke

Andrew,
Not a peat guy it would seem. Tasted truly like dirt with a hint of malt. I'll stick to Highlands and Speysides when I'm craving a good Scotch
John,
Lite, smooth, sweet and with some peat. This was my grandfather’s go to drink...it’s mine now too.
Christopher,
Virtually undrinkable. Lot's of peat and tastes of contaminated water.
SCOTT,
Every day Scotch with no bite!
Ben,
I'd rate this scotch right down the middle given the affordability of a bottle and that it is a decent sipping scotch on a budget. Not terrible, but not great either.
Russ,
Pedestrian. Best used with ice and cola.
Mark,
When you are all out of everything else.
Tyler,
Stocking stuffer whisky, Part III.
I was honestly surprised how much I liked this. The aroma is grape must, doughy grains, sugar glaze. Flavor has earthy, chocolatey round notes, and toast. Sweet honey finish. Really punching above its weight.
Josh,
Caramel and Peat
Ashton,
Love scotch and whiskeys but unfortunately this is one of my least favorite.
Hunter,

Nate,
About the worst whiskey I have ever had, I don't remember anything as painful
Mac,
Nose: Sweet and peaty, not much else
Taste: Slight smokiness, quite sweet, almost tastes watered down
Finish: smooth and very drinkable. Just slightly lacking
Christopher,
Smoky/peaty gives way to vanilla and spice, and a short lived sweet finish. The smoke is more akin to laphroig for a flavor superior to a Chivas and different from Johnnie Walker’s more smoked flavor in a blend. A tasty blend
guest,
It’s like you were drinking a bonfire, but only the smoke
guest,
Sweet, cereal, floral, oak finish
Steven,
6.5 new to scotch. To high to soon seems unreal so 6.5 will do.
Dylan,
The bottle we have is about 60 years old
Mark,
sweet aroma. honey? less burn than I remember, nice feel on back end. fruity up front, smokey in the back.
guest,
Wonderful smell, very smoky taste. I tend to like this, but can be a bit too much sometimes.
David,
A bourbon and American whiskey guy, I haven't evolved to scotch neat or on the rocks just yet but keep trying. This will have to stay a part of mixed drinks only for me.
guest,
A good value blended Scotch but not balanced as well as I’d like with the smoke taking over for me. Best enjoyed neat as mixed in a cocktail or on the rocks does not compliment the subtle sweetness.
Sarah,
A well balanced, very easy scotch to drink. Not overly smoky, not too sweet and a little sour. For the price, it’s great!
Justin,
Smooth, entry scotch. Nothing to complain about, especially in terms of the taste for the price.
Francisco,
Too smoky
Matthew,
A classic, but nothing overly special. Great for an introduction to the world of scotch
guest,
Slightly smoky, not particularly smooth.
guest,
It’s a cheap scotch. Kind of average really. Hints of butter and alcohol on the nose. An average whiskey on the tongue. Not overly impressed.
guest,
First scotch I’ve tasted. Seems a little muted vs a bourbon but I like it a lot.
John,
Smooth and very subtle bite.
guest,
Good. Tastes like honey; good mixer, very simple.
Tristan,
For a $20 Scotch, I find it to be quite enjoyable
Christian,
It's a bland tasting scotch, but for the price you shouldn't expect more.
guest,
It has that band-aid taste at the finish that I have yet to know what it comes from.
