Not as "rubbery" as other mezcals I have tried. Smoky and quite enjoyable.
Smoky, but not overwhelming. Easy sipper
The fruit and touch of vanilla create a wonderful balance with the smoky flavor
Smoky, of course. And it goes well in cocktails
Not a lot of flavor. Nothing distinct. It's still a mezcal so it's not the worst thing I've drank.
Smoky and easy to drink
Intense smokey flavor with notes that are complimented by hints ginger, honey and slate.
Loved this from first taste. The most exciting agave spirit I’ve tried with smoky, earthy notes comparable to an Islay malt. Yet to find any substitute for this one in cocktails.
Currently my favorite agave-based drink. The smokiness of the mezcal comes through nice and strong in this one. Very pleasant to swish in your mouth while enjoying.
A great introduction into mezcal. Nice home bar addition
Definitely a different taste from tequila. It has a strong after taste. I'm not really feeling this one. It will work in a cocktail but not neat at least not for me.
A very smoky mescal. I like it quite a it and much better than most tequilas. Adds a little oomph to margaritas and is a decent pour just on the rocks with a hint of lime.
Mossy smoke, bit of salt, sweet and smooth
Interesting. Not sure how to rate this. I was like, ugh, at first, but then the smoke hit me. It's my first Mezcal. It's rough neat. I did make a Oaxaca Old-Fashioned and it was amazing.
I really found the flavor of this quite offputting. I tried it straight and mixed. Needless to say, I dumped the three bottle down the drain. I don't think I've done that.
A fantastic bottle to lead anyone into the world of mezcal. I always keep a bottle on the shelf.
Nice smokey finish, smooth and sweet.
Nice and smokey
Never received the bottle
not a great tequila, in fact, far from it. it tastes more like rubbing alcohol and a fine tequila [which is what i expected for the price]
I haven't had a lot of different Mezcal. This one tastes like a perfect balance of smokey agave. Great price.
It's got a great nose that's not dominated by smoke. Piney notes that show on the palate. Incredibly smooth for a mezcal, not something I would drink straight though. But adding this to some Tennessee whiskey with some lemon juice and maple syrup is the bomb.com!
is a very good, intense single village agave bottled unblended, organic, in a "time-honored" 400 year old way with a spicy tobacco finish.
Delicious and gave her an extra star because it's such a great price for this single village Mescal.
If you ever wanted a smokey, earthy Tequila... Mezcals are for you, especially this one!
Nice smoky flavor. Alittle sweet. Easy drinking.
This one got caught in the middle. I t carried forward some of the tequila characteristic roughness but did not deliver on the unique Mescal flavors. I may be spoiled by the Fidencio but this one paled in comparison.
The nose was heavy with alcohol and pepper. On the tongue it burns with pepper and slight hints of citrus, and maybe gasoline. It continues to burn with the flavors of a cigar and its ashes. Finishes hot, like burnt rubber.
now that's funny
Smoky, smooth, fragrant, a fresh take on mezcal.
Smoke monster but sweet and smooth
Very nice! Smooth, a little fruity, slightly sweet with a Scotch like smoky finish. Will definitely buy this again.
