― It is an outstanding, intense 30 year old Bas-Armagnac, spicy but not fiery, the maturation has mellowed the eaux-de-vie, creating an intensely flavorsome Armagnac. It opens with notes of strawberry laces, black tea & Demerara sugar. A touch of Christmas spice & tomato stem. The palate has notes of grape, prunes, Mince pies, rancio, licorice, clove & cinnamon, quite Christmas-y once again! Beeswax, chocolate truffle & desiccated coconut; while the finish is long & complex with notes of waxy fruit, oak, tobacco & iris.
