A Whiskey for all fans of craft beer (and good Whiskey).

There doesn't need to be an elaborate and complex story behind a distillery and brand. When Matthew Allen and Brandon Marshall decided to venture into distilling, it was with the simplest of goals: to make bloody delicious Spirits. This is how the Cerberus Craft Distillery came to be, and with it the Dark Door Spirits brand. But they wouldn't just be making your regular booze, no siree. Their first release in 2016 was the Spirit of IPA, an IPA Whiskey, and a sign of things to come. The guys went ahead and unleashed their creativity, soon ending up with a lineup of authentic Spirits that challenged the norm.

Dark Door Spirit of IPA is their seriously special offering that manages to merge two different worlds of craft booze. A craft IPA beer is distilled into a craft Whiskey and the result is exactly what you’d imagine this hybrid to taste like. Starting with full hoppy and floral notes with hints of vanilla, the body brings classic corn Whiskey notes with more sweet vanilla, caramel, and woody flavors, all rounded up with refreshing citrus. Bottled at 80 proof, even your friend who swears by craft beer will love this banging craft Whiskey.

Flavor Spiral TM
About the Flavor Spiral
What does Dark Door Spirit of IPA taste like?

The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavors that you'll taste in Dark Door Spirit of IPA and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.

Moonshine Whiskey is distilled from a varied mix of corn and sugar and is aged in Mason jars and jugs for the length of time it takes the customers to get home.
Tennessee Whiskey closely parallels Bourbon, but final filtering through sugar-maple charcoal (called the Lincoln County Process) is what some producers say differentiates them. Tennessee Whiskey’s finish is sweeter and smoother than Bourbon.
George Washington was a man of many talents being both a military braniac and the First President of the United States. Interestingly, he also became the largest Whiskey producer in the United States after leaving the politics.
Corn Whiskey is a commercial product that must contain at least 80% corn, be distilled at less than 80% ABV (160 proof), and, if wood-aged, may be aged in either used or new un-charred barrels.
Rye Whiskey is made from mash that is at least 51 percent rye. The grain gives Rye Whiskey its spicy, sometimes peppery, and bitter flavor. It was a big seller before Prohibition, and after decades in obscurity, it’s fashionable again. Fun fact: George Washington distilled Rye Whiskey at Mount Vernon.
is the fermentation process by which a percentage of a previous fermentation is added to a new batch as a "starter" to get the fermentation going and maintain a level of consistency from batch to batch. A sweet mash means that only fresh yeast is added to a new batch to start fermentation.
