A 20 year old from the Dalwhinnie distillery, just 4,200 bottles of this refill sherry matured whisky were released. The sherry notes are quite rich and the colour is indulgently deep.

About the Flavor Spiral
What does Dalwhinnie 20 Year Old taste like?

The Flavor Spiral™ shows the most common flavors that you'll taste in Dalwhinnie 20 Year Old and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.

90% of all Scotch Whiskies sold are Blends.
Cook & Bernheimer -- who purchased the distillery in 1934 - were able to acquire the whole site for only £1250,00. That is the equivalent of £22,484.89 today! How they got such a bargain we may never know.
Several Dalwhinnie buildings -- including the still house and primary wharehouse - are "B-listed Biuldings." This means that they are of historic importance to the region, due to tradition or architectural styles.
Whisky or Whiskey? The spelling differs geographically. In Scotland, Japan, and some other parts of the world, distilleries usually spell it Whisky; in Ireland and the USA, they spell it Whiskey.
Scotland is home to more than 20 million casks of maturing Whisky. That’s four for every person living there. Nuts!
Single Malt Scotch Whisky is made in Scotland using a pot still distillation process at a single distillery, with malted barley as the only grain ingredient. It must be matured in oak casks in Scotland for at least three years (most Single Malts are matured longer, though).
