This was distilled at the Dailuaine distillery on the 26th March 1997 and matured in single hogshead number 4231 for 12 years before bottling on the 16th September 2009. A release of just 384 bottles.

First-class Whiskies are taxed not only by the state but also by the angels. This refers to the 4% of Whisky that evaporates from the barrels every year, a phenomenon known as the angel’s share.
