The most famous of all the Canadian whiskies, Crown Royal is made with over 50 different whiskies, and they've been making it for over 70 years. It was first created in 1939 to celebrate the visit of King George IV to Canada.

nice smooth flavors pairs well with mixers
Not even middle of the road. A more expensive whiskey at par with most bottom shelf whiskeys.
Very sweet, all the flavours are muddled into a flat palate. The only thing this is good for is putting it into something that covers the taste.
First whiskey I ever liked. Very sweet. Good in a coke.
Crown Royal was my introduction to decent whisky, and my go-to for a number of years after college before my tastes "matured" a bit and I began experimenting with more flavorful/sophisticated/bold whiskys & bourbons. Still a staple in my bar, but now just for mixed drinks vs. on the rocks. Will always hold a special place in my heart, which counts for 1 extra star from me vs. what it likely deserves.
Middle of the road. Pairs well with anything that keeps you from tasting it. Better than drinking water!
Middle of the road smooth but the flavors are muted
Not may favorite but not bad if your in college trying to find a good buzz
It's ok. Not my favorite.
Crown apple fan through and through
Good whiskey from the North
Crown Royal is a great value with good flavor and not that expensive making it the perfect go to whiskey.
Classic favorite, hard to beat.
This is a steady at my side regular on the rocks or neat. Provides a good value for those on a budget but with a need to enjoy the finer things.
Sour notes up front. Not much of a bite at first but does develop after some time.
Nice flavor & bite. Rye is my go to
I've always had a love for crown royal original
I'm not big on Canadian whisky, but you can't go wrong with Crown. Sweet and smooth.
Didn't care for the taste.
Only for mixing drinks. Bought the apple version, goes great with sprite and a splash of cranberry
This is my go to Drink, usually with Ginger Ale.
I love crown. Straight or mixing in pepsi or coke. Generally what I drink so I dont drink my other whiskeys.
Doesn’t have a strong rubbing alcohol taste and is spiced well.
To harsh on the back end.
Good, prefer to have this if I am mixing it.
I love Crown Royal.
Nice maple flavor to it
It's nice. I liked it with ice. Not so much neat. It's light and sweet. I think I'm tasting vanilla and has a mild finish.
Nice strong but pleasing flavors.
clean and smooth
SEHR fruchtige Nase, Geschmack etwas einfach, kein bleibender Eindruck. Leicht zu trinken.

Standard go to whiskey with a simple palate
Was one of the first whiskeys I sampled. Has a special place in my heart.
One of my first whiskys ... ah, memory lane! So it holds a sentimental spot in my bar. I probably wouldn't drink it anymore otherwise ... it is a bit weak. It seems watered down to me now. But it is still an enjoyable dram. And the price is reasonable. So I enjoy it and reflect on times gone by.
My favorite whisky
So smooth and flavorful.
Very smooth, easy drinking
A little on the sweet side for personal tastes. Common drink, prefer to go for some of the more off the beaten path labels.
Good cheap everyday whiskey
Gets the job done
Love the Apple and Vanilla flavor!
solid whisky - but usually use it as a mixing whisky. Sprite!
First whiskey so it is automatically a classic in my book.
Good. Great on a hot day..cold day..any day.
Crown is fine. I typically only use it for mixing.
Always a favorite
Smooth but i add cole or if apple flavored i add seven up or sprite
Crown Royal is my all time go to drink!
Enjoy the green apple.
My fav mixing whiskey, but excellent neat, too.
Just the best
Just one of whiskeys that never gets old
Very fond of the Reserve.
Very smooth. No bite. Goes well with a fine cigar!
Smooth, the Canadians have done well with this whiskey. Hints of fruit, and ever so lightly brushed with smoke.
Crown is always a good go to drink, especially for those who like a mixer.
My everyday go to
An easy every day whisky that's affordable and can be taken neat or mixed. Hints of vanilla are a nice aromatic touch.
if i could only order one drink it would be Crown Royal on the rocks with a splash of water.
Always good with a couple ice cubes and water
Love it. Favorite whiskey by far. Nice smooth taste. Great with a splash of ginger ale
The staple in my whisky bar...flavorful enough to sip neat or on the rocks and affordable enough that I can look the other way when people use it in mixed drinks
A bit pricey for what you get. Used to love it, now I'm spoiled.
Not as smooth as Crown Black
I believe this to be the best of the inexpensive whiskeys. A good everyday drink or to be mixed
Nice sipping whiskey
One of the smoother and richer one's not to over powering in spice's
smooth and sweet
The goto for the golf course.
For special occasions, and when I have now aged DEW.
is an outstanding, rich, blended whisky with a birth of honey & oak, a life of creamy fruit & vanilla, that leads to a long & smooth death filled with rye & spice.
Sweet, great for sipping or mixing
Favorite and go to
Excellent Canadian style whisky
Huge fan. Been drinking it for years. Both blue and red XRs are solid. Favorite variety of CR is the "Black" version. Excellent.
The classic, enjoyable drink.
Very nice sippin' whiskey. Canadian whiskeys have always traditionally been very smooth to me. I've had the straight Royal Crown, Apple and maple. I do not care for the maple.
Nice front flavor but dry on the back end. Great color and serves we'll both chilled and at room temperature.
One of my staples
Been drinking for 25+ years. I'm never without a bottle on hand. I prefer drinking on the rocks. The taste is smooth and relaxing.
