I love the notes of caramel, and hints of butterscotch. This whiskey has a tiny bite, but once past it, the aftertaste is superb. Pairs wonderfully with med to med-rare steaks, and any flavor pipe tobacco.
It's ok. Not their best, that's just me.
Green tea and cola aromas. Nice! Thin texture on the mouth, but some vanilla caramel flavors that put this in the win column. Not quite a bourbon, but worthwhile in its own right. For the price buy it if you already have some classic bourbon and you want a variation.
I liked this one for it's smooth taste. Has a Smoky finish.
Appearance: Color is copper, decent legs... Nose: baking spices, vanilla, grain, mild ethanol, mildly astringent. Smells like a young Bourbon, which makes sense given that it is essentially a mix of Canadian “Bourbon” and Canadian “Aged Corn Whiskey”... Palate: Vanilla and mild baking spices initially, a little corn grain in the midpalate. Underwhelming... Mouthfeel: A little thin... Finish: Increasing intensity of the baking spices, as well as an anstringency that is slightly off-putting... Overall: Canadian attempt at Bourbon. I’ll stick with the real thing.
Just fair, will not purchase again
I was surprised at how much I liked this, and I will buy it again.
Too Oak'y for me, but good with coke or in a Manhattan.
Consistently my go to for price vs taste
First time trying this and I thought it was quite tasty 😋 for an inexpensive bottle, it has a little kick 🦵🏽 to it. I would definitely re-buy again.
I didn’t care for it. It has the right notes but they are to rounded off and lacks any sweetness. It’s not horrible, it’s just not my bag I guess you could say.
Good sippin whisky. Has a woody finish.
Swing and miss by crown, alright, but nothing special
Very inoffensive. There's not a lot to the flavor, but it's definitely got a lot of bourbon going on despite being a Canadian whisky.
Super smooth and had a great flavor.
Pretty smooth and sweet. I bet it would make a great old fashioned.
I loved the smoothness of this enjoyable drink.
This is a smooth, drinkable whiskey, but it doesn't really stimulate my tastebuds or provide much of a warming finish - which are the reasons I like whiskey. It doesn't match up to a really good bourbon.
I bought this as a collectors item since they can’t call it Bourbon anything anymore. I was pleasantly surprised by this smooth and drinkable whisky. On the rocks, in and old fashioned, or for a change I put a splash of Jamaican ginger beer.
I like this flavor of crown royal, it has a nice flavor across the palette and a smooth finish. It goes great in a Manhattan.
Not to thrilled about the mash bill
Enjoyed it !
Great taste very satisfying
This is a Canadian whiskey in bourbon drag. It looks and sounds like a bourbon, but in the dark, when it counts, it’s still from north of the border and from a big brand.
I’ll share this with friends as a novelty.
A lot like a Canadian Jim Beam. I found it very drinkable.
On the sweet side
Oh Hell Yeah!... My bottle came with a sticker that states; "This is not a bourbon whiskey." The sticker itself in sort of crooked and appears on the Purple box as well as the bottom of the bottle itself. I think the flavor of this whiskey is fantastic. I might have to get a second bottle just for kicks.
Mild bite with a punch & cigar. Great anytime
Aroma is absolutely beautiful. Sipped clean initial taste is smooth, then gets a bit “scotch-y.” Blends very well with cherry coke and dr. Pepper
