COUNTRY GENTLEMAN

Country Gentleman has a long history stretching back 1887. Back in the day it was made n the “Old Taylor Distillery” along with a few other products.

While most legal Whiskey production came to a screeching halt during Prohibition, a few operators noticed that the law allowed the distillation of Alcohol for “medicinal purposes.” So from 1917 through 1932 they relabeled and rebottled all of their Whiskey as “Country Gentleman Medicinal Pint.”

These days the Country Gentlemen is produced through Heaven Hill’s operations and is a lower-priced brand of Whiskey that utilized caramel-coloring and comes in 1.75 liter bottles.
