Smells and taste good. Vanilla smell with some caramel. Tasty. Do not add water.

Fruity sweet with spice to start. The spice never actually hits hard though. Pretty smooth overall

Spicier than you expect after the light and sweet nose.

Stephen

Subtle notes of peach immediately followed by a mildly spicy finish. Easy to drink and mild.

Ryan
Ryan,
Nicely balanced flavor profile. Gentle smoke with some fruity and sweet notes. Reminds me a bit of a highland whisky like Dalwhinnie. Pleasant surprise

Michael
Michael,
Spice up front, but finishes smooth. One ice cube really mellowed it out and made it quite enjoyable.

Cynthia

Really nice whisky to kick off the Advent calendar! Right up my ally with notes of honey, butterscotch, and spice! Love this whiskey service so much!

Spicy and citrusy but goes down smooth.

Victor
Victor,
Light golden colored. Aroma of fruit (pear, apple, peach). Some burn and spice up front but quickly dissipates. Very fruity with hints of orange, pear, peach, honey, and sugar. Nice mouthfeel, a bit oily but still light. Finish had some spice along with lingering fruit and sugar.

Todd
Todd,
Surprised at how well I liked it. Spicy at first, but still getting the fruit and and slightly sweet flavors. Added a few drops of water and spicy was gone - fruit and sweet now predominant. My wife really liked it and she likes smoky scotch too.

Liz
Liz,
I agree that the sweet notes came out with a drop of water or on the rock. It had a hint of smoke, but was mostly sweet. Thanks for making this advent calendar!!

Angela
Angela,
Fruity, especially the peach. Comes out more with ice

Paul,
Day 1 of the 2019 Flaviar advent calendar - nice one to start it with. Very smooth and sweet single malt, easy to drink. I’m a bourbon guy first and a rum guy second so I favor whiskeys that aren’t real dank/Smokey and more dessert-like, like this one

Burton
Burton,
Spice at first, and it gives way to lite essence of fruit. Nice mouth feel and good long finish.

Matthew
Matthew,
Color is amber. Nose starts with a little ethanol, but quickly passes to honey and fruits, both citrus and sweeter ripe stonefruit. Beneath that is mild butterscotch. First sip is spicey, with fairly intense baking spices and black pepper followed by a a malty mid-palate and a deliciously sweet citrus and peach late palate. Additional sips show notes of caramel and more fruit. Mouthfeel is creamy.

Terrific whisky with a unique flavor I was not expecting!

John
John,
A really fine whisky. I wasn't sure what to expect from an English single malt, but it really stands out. Not as smokey as Scotch (at least those I prefer), but with the sweetness and burn of a really good American whiskey. I will definitely enjoy again.

Ryan
Ryan,
Wonderful taste great on ice or with water.
