Jen,
Starts out sharp and maybe a bit harsh - the fruit and spicier flavors coming out on the initial sip and midway through. It finishes out smoother and the smokier tobacco flavors start to come out towards the end but are definitely not as strong as what I might expect with other drinks that are characterized as being smoky. I tend to dislike liquors with the lingering Smokey taste but this one was balanced enough that I actually liked it for the most part. The honey and caramel flavors seemed to carry throughout the tasting. Tried it neat, shaken in a cocktail, and mixed with coke. The initial harshness definitely continued to be present in the cocktail so definitely be aware of that if you want to mix it - whether that’s something you want to keep or something you want to try and cut the flavor from. Mixing with coke definitely cut the initial hit of the spice and left this brandy much smoother with the caramel notes coming through more.
Chris,
Apple and floral notes on the nose, then spicy oak and a slight nod to melon. Medium finish with the spice and wood lingering.
Meghan,
Way too spicy to have straight, but great as a mixed drink. Just a small amount of coke/Pepsi really brings out the caramel and then it’s delicious
Ashley,
As whiskey lovers, tasting at home on New Years Eve... during a Global Pandemic... it was pretty good for a Brandy!
Alex,
The honey, tobacco, & spice come forward in the nose & are the most prominent in the profile, complimented by the vanilla which gives it a smooth finish & makes it a great American brandy to try.
Stephanie,
Very good and smooth with a kick of spice in the end
John,
Really nice notes of honey, caramel, tobacco and cherry. Very enjoyable.
Ray,
Taste of spicy vanilla with a hint of fruit. Nice for sipping.
charles,
Interesting and good
Matt,
Much spicier than I’d expect from a brandy. Unique profile! Some harsh notes too. Grain, vanilla, spice nose. Some light sweetness at first.
Terry,
I would agree with the tasting notes. I bit strong up front with a lingering spice flavor.
Dale,
I'm not well versed in brandy, but nice nose, sweet on the pallet. Spice hits a bit stronger right at first, but mellowed nicely.
Richard,
I got cherry and honey on the nose, very smooth sipper that I picked up in a tasting box. Long finish...I preferred it on the rocks. On the fence about grabbing a bottle. Not bad at all
David,
Might just not be used to brandy but this seems almost peppery with a harsh flavor that isn’t particularly complex
Luis,
Enjoy it with ice. Then decided to add coke to it and I really liked it as a mixed drink. I’m more of rum guy so this was pleasantly tasty.
Mitchell,
High proof but super sweet, good for holidays?
Brian,
Glad I tried this in a tasting box. I would.have been pissed if I had bought the bottle. Don't know where they were trying to go with this but it was all over the place. The flavors didn't go together at all.
Steve,
Appealing grape nose, good alcohol balance, not terribly complex on the palate.
Holly,
Enjoyed this thoroughly and I’m not a big fan of brandy.
Robert,
My first brandy. Don't think I'll ever try anything else because this is amazing. Drinks like a bourbon.
Kim,
Warmth, low spice, no bite, neutral flavor
Andrew,
I’m really into this. I didn’t know I liked brandy! Tastes like a sweet whiskey to me. Honey and caramel for sure. Great after dinner on ice.
Mac,
Sweet smell. Tastes of caramel, honey, tobacco, and spices.
First brandy I've ever tried. May not be my thing, but I can definitely see why someone would love it.
Daniel,
Sweet at the beginning with a little spiciness to follow. Palate cleansing, as there is not a lot of lingering flavor.
Matthew,
Not as strong as the Butchertown, but a lot more diverse flavor palette
James,
Founded the have very little flavour.
Antti,
It is an outstanding, elegant, Solera aged Brandy that has an aromatic birth; while a rich & oily life leads to a balanced & velvety death.
Dan,
Very surprising! This is the beautiful love child of brandy and bourbon, tasting of both and neither. This is subtly sweet and slightly Smokey. Very drinkable, especially with an ice cube.
Louis,
Fruity. Smooth. Great brandy
Evan,
This wasn’t my favorite. It was alright but prob won’t add it to my favorites
Colin,
Tastes more like Whiskey than Brandy. Fruity nose but I personally was overwhelmed by the tobacco to get much more out of it.
Michael,
Drink more brandy than whisky but usually in a cocktail. Sorry I’m from Wisconsin. However, I really enjoyed this brandy straight. Little fruity with a great finish.
Andrew,
Typically a whisky drinker but can’t get enough of this brandy.
Kent,
Tasted like like black licorice with a good finish. Not my favorite.
Kevin,
Very spicy. Water brings out melon. Tobacco on the nose.
Chris,
Excellent nose, oily mouthfeel, good on the front end hot finish
Jerry,
Not a brandy fan but very drinkable. Enjoyed it for sure
Zane,
I am not a huge brandy fan but one of the other reviews said it taste like a whiskey so I gave it a try. Glad I did. Very unique taste. Smooth, little spice. little fruit. The after taste is more of a fruit finish. I like it a lot.
John,
Very spicy. Lasting aftertaste. I am more of a whiskey drinker. Unfortunately not for me.
Jeff,
Im not a brandy drinker, but this one is delicious on the rocks!
John,
brandy that taste like whiskey
Ryan,
Really smooth- a little spicy with the tiniest burn on the backside. Mellow, sweet and woody flavor. I was surprised there was so much fruit on the nose compared to what I was tasting. I generally prefer a fruitier brandy, but I really did enjoy every sip.
Johnathon,
I’m fairly new to tasting spirits attentively, so I can’t make a lot of comparison, but here’s what I tasted. In the aroma I picked up camel and some fruitiness. The initial taste had a strong spiciness which lingered briefly, and a sweetness that persisted longer. As the spiciness faded I picked up some dark fruit and woody notes which slowly faded into a pleasant aftertaste.
Paul,
Was surprised and delighted at the first sip, didn't expect to enjoy the sweet, fruity slap as much as I did. The middle mellows out with some more refined and distinguishable nutty-orange notes. The finish had more burn for me than the front, but still with a tasteful amount of sweetness, definitely draws you in for the next sip. -Will be purchasing a bottle in an upcoming order.
Eric,
Definitely drinks like a smooth whiskey. Great aroma!
Sam,
Ok. Not great. Not bad.
Michael,

Joshua,
Been looking forward to this one! The aroma is amazing the first taste is spicy but then the full flavor rolls over your tongue. The aftertaste is fruity which leaves you wanting more. I love sipping this one neat on a cold night.
Ieshia,
I love this brandy. When it first touches my tongue the flavor excites my taste buds.
Rachel,
Smooth, sweet and smokey. Perfect a little dry to finish. Wonderful sipping neat
