What does the Membership include?
In your first Membership quarter you will automatically receive access to our exclusive selection of Bottles, themed Tasting Boxes, from craft to premium and a database of ratings, reviews and over 15,000 complete sets of tasting notes. The moment you join, we will also dispatch our "Welcome to Flaviar" Tasting Box with three 1.5oz vials of tongue-picked craft Whiskies, complete with tasting instructions, tasting notes and distillery backgrounds. Once per month you will also be entitled to Free Shipping on all full-size Bottles and Tasting Boxes available to Club Members. Additionally, you will be entitled to a number of exclusive benefits, access to the occasional events and all the trivial and educational content we’ve produced over the years.
What happens each following quarter?
You retain all Membership benefits in each following quarter as long as you don't cancel your Membership. Unlike in your first quarter of Membership, we won't automatically send you a Tasting Box. You will have the ability to claim 1 free box in your profile, out of any Tasting Box you see available. All other benefits, including free shipping on Bottles will also be renewed.
Do you ship to where I live?
At the moment we ship to all European Union (EU) countries and the United States, with the exception of the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Kentucky, Massachusetts, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas and Utah.
What’s inside the “Welcome to Flaviar” Tasting Box?
The box includes samples of 3 very different whiskies, which we believe are a great starting point for enthusiasts as well as aficionados.
Where do you ship from and how long will it take to arrive?
The Welcome Box is shipped the moment you join the Club. All our Boxes are shipped from Europe and take from 4 to 14 working days, depending on your location.
What about full size Bottles?
We have a network of fulfilment partners across Europe and the United States, which implies that shipping on these items is as local as it can possibly be. Nevertheless, please allow 4 to 14 days for the items to arrive.
What's inside a Tasting Box?
1. 3x 45ml (1.5oz) curated samples of premium and/or craft spirits from all over the World.
2. Complete tasting notes for guided tasting and information about the drinks.
3. Means to discover new favourite drinks and promote a better and healthier way of enjoying them alone or with friends.
What kind of brands do you normally include in the Tasting Boxes?
We're always eager to try something new, from small-batch craft to super premium. We don't have a favourite brand, nor do we discriminate against certain brands. You can read more about our selection process here.
How does the Free Shipping perk work?
Your Free Shipping perk is automatically assigned to your profile. Once you make your bottle selection, you will not be charged for shipping at checkout, regardless of regular shipping cost.
How expensive are the full size Bottles?
We try to keep our selection as diverse as possible. Prices can vary from $30 - $500 and more. Our prices are similar, in many cases actually lower than you would find in a specialty store.
What kind of drinks do you sell?
We curate from over 15,000 different spirits. From Whisk(e)y, Bourbon, Rum, Gin, Brandy, Absinthe and other types of spirits. From stylish American craft rye Whiskey to the rarest Highland Scotch or small batch Gin from Germany.
Are the drinks authentic?
Yes. Every product we stock is authentic and we take quality very seriously. Our drinks are sourced from only the best beverage producers in the World. Each Tasting Box is curated by a group of aficionados, connoisseurs, industry professionals, food and beverage experts.
How do I invite my friends to join?
You will receive instructions from one of our Membership team via email.
What are Flaviar credits and how can I use them?
You will find a checkbox at checkout, which will enable you to apply store credits towards your purchase.
You can use credits on all non-recurring transactions (one-off purchases): Tasting Flights (offer) and full-size bottles (offer).
Credits expire 6 months after they get assigned to your Account. You can see your store credit balance by logging into your Account on Flaviar website (top-right corner).
Damaged goods. What now?
If you've received products that were damaged in transit, or if you received an incomplete or incorrect shipment, we'll do our best to resolve the matter to your full satisfaction.
We did our best in designing the Box to provide maximum protection for its contents. In the case of receiving damaged goods, please notify us immediately at email@example.com. Please attach a picture of the damaged goods.
Please keep in mind we may require you to hold on to your damaged or incorrect items, in the condition you received them (including the original packaging), so that we can process a damage claim or arrange for a return pick-up.
Is my data private?
We value the privacy of all our members. Your information is kept in strict confidence and will never be shared or misused.
TERMS OF SERVICE
Cancellation policy You may cancel your Membership any time by contacting our Membership team. Any refunds are calculated based on the 90-day Membership period as follows. If you cancel within 3 days of signing up to a paid Membership, we will refund your full Membership fee. We may charge you (or withhold from your refund) the value of benefits used by you and your account during this 3-day period. If you cancel at any other time, we will refund your Membership fee pro-rata, based on the remaining duration of the Membership, but only if you and your account did not make any eligible purchases or take advantage of Membership benefits since your latest Membership charge.
Membership fees and renewal
The Membership fee is stated in the User profile of a Member and on the sign-up page. From time to time, we may offer different membership terms, and the fees for such membership may vary. The Membership fee is non-refundable except as expressly set forth in these Terms. Taxes may apply on either or both of the membership fee and the reduced shipping charges for Members. Only credit cards are eligible for payment of your Membership. Do not sign up for Membership with a debit card. Also known as a "check" or "ATM" card, a debit card typically has the word "debit" printed on the face of the card. If all credit cards we have on file for you are declined for payment of your Membership fee, you must provide us a new credit card promptly or your Membership will be canceled. If you provide us with a new card and are successfully charged, your new membership period will be based on the original renewal date and not the date of the successful charge.
UNLESS YOU NOTIFY US BEFORE A CHARGE THAT YOU WANT TO CANCEL OR DO NOT WANT TO AUTO RENEW, YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR MEMBERSHIP WILL AUTOMATICALLY CONTINUE AND YOU AUTHORIZE US (WITHOUT NOTICE TO YOU, UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW) TO COLLECT THE THEN-APPLICABLE MEMBERSHIP FEE AND ANY TAXES, USING ANY CREDIT CARD WE HAVE ON RECORD FOR YOU.
