What does Flaviar membership include?

Flaviar membership gives you access to the biggest community of spirits enthusiasts, home to tens of thousands of bottle reviews, innovative Flavor Spirals for every Spirit imaginable, unique members-only events, and community features such as the Digital Home Bar, Tasting Log and Flavor Match recommendations.

In addition to that your membership includes access to exclusive bottlings just for Flaviar members, monthly free shipping and a complimentary quarterly Spirits Delivery (consisting of Tasting box and a full-size bottle of your choice).

Each time your quarterly Spirits Delivery benefit refreshes, you can choose from our ever-changing selection of full-size bottles (750ml) and Tasting Boxes which include three 1.5oz vials of tongue-picked spirits from craft and big brands, a concrete coaster, complete with tasting instructions, tasting notes and distillery backgrounds.


When do my membership and benefits renew?

You can choose your renewal period when you first join Flaviar, either quarterly (every 3 months, i.e. four times per year) or annually. In both cases membership benefits are assigned to your account on a quarterly basis. You can find your next renewal date, along with the schedule of membership benefits on your membership profile page.


Where can you ship?

At the moment we ship to all European Union (EU) countries and the United States, with the exception of the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming.

Delivery to PO Box and APO/FPO addresses, as well as mail forwarding services and courier depots, is not possible.

Worldwide shipping is available at no extra costs for tasting boxes only. To learn if we are able to ship bottles to your country, kindly contact us via the form below. Please note we're not able to estimate additional fees you will be charged by your country's authorities and/or carriers.

Where do you ship from and how long will it take to arrive?

We have a network of fulfilment partners across Europe and the United States, which implies that shipping is as local as it can possibly be. Most orders arrive within 4 day, but could be up to 14 days, depending on the season and individual items ordered.


What’s inside the Quarterly Spirits Delivery?

A Tasting Box and a full-size bottle of your choice. New Tasting Boxes and full-size bottles are added to the roster all the time, so there will always be something new to pick.


What's inside a Flaviar Tasting Box?

Our themed Tasting Boxes come with a selection of drinks, tasting notes and instructions on how to taste. We pick the drinks to showcase the flavor range of each category and make it even easier for you to find the one.

The box is a masterpiece (btw, we were awarded Red Dot designer award in 2017), not just a regular cardboard box, elegant but lightweight and durable (so the spirits within are not disturbed or damaged).

The unboxing itself is a real excitement, but the gems inside include:
1. Three 45ml (1.5oz) curated samples of premium and/or craft spirits from all over the World.
2. A collectible Flaviar branded concrete coaster.
2. All the info you need to discover your new favorite drinks - tasting notes for guided tasting and information about each of the drinks including interesting and lesser known facts (that you can use to impress your friends or whoever you’re sharing the drinks with).


What kind of brands do you normally include in the Tasting Boxes?

We're always eager to encourage Flaviar members to try more new things more often, from small-batch craft to super premium. We’re a picky bunch and don’t suggest you taste anything that’s not objectively high quality spirit. There’s also a story of each drink and its producer featured on Flaviar so you always know what you’re drinking.


What is the selection of quarterly full-size bottles available to me?

Flaviar members have two “tough” decisions to make each quarter - which tasting box and which full-size bottle to choose. The selection of full-size bottles available is constantly updated, so you can pick a different exciting product each quarter.

The bottle selection includes both well-known and most popular drinks among Flaviar members as well as the rising stars you might want to try. Each main spirit category is represented, so don’t worry if Scotch or Bourbon are not your top picks - there’s also Rum, Gin, Irish Whiskey, Japanese Whisky, Mezcal, Brandy and many more available.


How does the Free Shipping benefit work?

Every first day of the month, your free shipping benefit reloads. You can check the status in your membership profile. When you have free shipping credit available, you can add as many full-size bottles as you want to the cart, and the benefit will be applied automatically at the checkout.

Good news - tasting boxes always ship for free, so you can buy additional tasting boxes (on top of the one included in your Quarterly Spirits Delivery) anytime without additional shipping costs.


How does the Free Tasting Box benefit work?

If you have Free Tasting Box credits available in your account, you can claim a free Tasting Box directly from the Flaviar tasting boxes page.


How does the Free Quarterly Spirits Delivery benefit work?

Free Quarterly Spirits Delivery is a new benefit available to the members who joined after June 2019 and pay the upgraded $95 per quarter/$300 per year membership. If you have Free Quarterly Spirits Delivery credits available in your account, you can claim a free Tasting Box and a full-size bottle in your membership profile. You have to select both at the same time. They might be shipped separately so fret not if you receive just the bottle or the box first.


How expensive are the full size bottles available at Flaviar.com?

We try to keep our selection as diverse as possible so Flaviar members can try more new things more often, but also have their favorite bottles available all the time. We guarantee every product we sell is authentic. Prices can vary from $30 - $500 and more. Our prices are similar, in many cases actually lower than you would find in a specialty store. Plus there’s the monthly free shipping for Flaviar members which can save you approximately $15 per purchase.


What kind of drinks do you sell?

We curate from over 20,000 different spirits: from Whisk(e)y, Bourbon, Rum, Gin, Brandy, Absinthe and other types of Spirits, from stylish American craft Rye Whiskey to the rarest Highland Scotch or small batch Gin from Germany. We believe all good spirits deserve to be available and tasted, so we’re generally selling the good stuff only.


Are the drinks authentic?

Yes. Every product we stock is authentic and we take quality very seriously. Our drinks are sourced from only the best beverage producers in the world. Each Tasting Box is curated by a group of aficionados, connoisseurs, industry professionals, food and beverage experts. We maintain the quality and control in production and packaging of the boxes so the drinks included in the box are definitely the same quality (and taste) than the full-size bottles.


How do I invite my friends to join?

You can find a Refer-a-friend option in your membership profile. Not only will you open your buddy the door to the greatest spirits lovers community in the world, you will both benefit from it - we’ll give each $50 worth of store credit. You can spend it on anything you want - just promise it’s something spectacular.


What is Flaviar store credit and how can I use it?

Store credit is, simply put, as good as cash. But it is tied to your Flaviar account and can only be used for non-recurring transactions (one-off purchases of full-size bottles and additional tasting boxes) and might come with an expiry date. If you have store credits available, you use them by simply checking a tick box at checkout.


What do I do if goods arrive damaged?

No one deserves to cry over spilled Whisky (or other great Spirit), so we make sure every package is protected to be delivered undamaged.

But things can go wrong. If you’ve received products that were damaged in transit or the shipment is incomplete or incorrect, please notify us immediately at hello@flaviar.com. Make sure you attach a photo of the damaged product and we’ll do our best to solve this unpleasant situation.

Please keep in mind we may require you to hold on to your damaged or incorrect items, in the condition you received them (including the original packaging), so that we can process a damage claim or arrange for a return pick-up. Read more about Shipping and Returns.


Is my data private?

We will only use your contact data ourselves withing permissions you gave us. Credit card data and your payments are additionally protected by a verified 3rd party payment processing service. We won’t sell or give your contact info to any third party.


TERMS OF SERVICE
Cancellation Policy

Flaviar members have full and immediate control over their Membership. You may manage your membership in accordance with this Cancellation policy by visiting your Membership page.

If you cancel within 3 days of signing up to a paid Membership, we will refund your full Membership fee. We may charge you (or withhold from your refund) the value of benefits used by you and your account during this 3-day period. Cancellation requests after the 3-day grace period will result in Membership renewal prevention; your Membership status will remain unaltered until the end of the prepaid period. Same rules, time limitations, and refund eligibility options apply for when membership renews.

Personalized items (e.g. engraved) and product incentives to join Flaviar are non-refundable unless stated otherwise.

Membership fees and renewal
The Membership fee is stated in the User profile of a Member and on the sign-up page. From time to time, we may offer different membership terms, and the fees for such membership may vary. The Membership fee is non-refundable except as expressly set forth in these Terms. Taxes may apply on either or both of the membership fee and the reduced shipping charges for Members. Only credit cards are eligible for payment of your Membership. Do not sign up for Membership with a debit card. Also known as a "check" or "ATM" card, a debit card typically has the word "debit" printed on the face of the card. If all credit cards we have on file for you are declined for payment of your Membership fee, you must provide us with a new credit card promptly or your Membership will be canceled. If you provide us with a new card and are successfully charged, your new membership period will be based on the original renewal date and not the date of the successful charge.

UNLESS YOU NOTIFY US BEFORE A CHARGE THAT YOU WANT TO CANCEL OR DO NOT WANT TO AUTO RENEW, YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR MEMBERSHIP WILL AUTOMATICALLY CONTINUE AND YOU AUTHORIZE US (WITHOUT NOTICE TO YOU, UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW) TO COLLECT THE THEN-APPLICABLE MEMBERSHIP FEE AND ANY TAXES, USING ANY CREDIT CARD WE HAVE ON RECORD FOR YOU.
