Katie,
Very spicy, with some sweetness on the nose. When softened, vanilla and oaky taste and nose are more prominent
Katherine,
Spicy is a prominent flavor, with a long longer on the lips. Lots of burnt caramel and oak with hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. If you like a smooth spicy drink, I would highly recommend this one.
Gregory,
The spice is melded with brown sugar in a very nice way. Finish is also sweet. This is really nice to sip
Jennifer,
Good balance of interesting flavors. My favorite of the Blended, Not Stirred Vol. 3 tasting box.
Mark,
Certainly inoffensive, but spice? Dunno about that.
Damon,
VERY strong flavors, full of spice.
Jessica,
Great spicy blended whisky. Great spice at the end.
Calli,
So smooth
Laura,
I like it quite a bit. The spice is strong but not overpowering. Good on the rocks.
guest,
Great depth of flavour and very well rounded. My go to scotch.
Marko,
Very smooth and easy to enjoy neat. Light almost fruity initial taste followed by subtle heat
Mark,
For the price point, this was a big disappointment. Light, no finish, and where's the spice? Have loved most Compass Box expressions, this wasn't one of them.
Todd,
Decent. Nice blend of spicy and sweet.
Tony,
Yum! Spicy nose, sweet and spicy taste. My favorite of the tasting set.
Sid,
Spicy for cold snowy night sipper
Ryan,
Spicy with notes of honey and sweetness.
Richard,
forgot to add rating.... here it is
Richard,
sip it - don't mix it.....
it's a wonderful whisky.
spicy, complex, chewy and warm.
John,
Nice blended malt, but I prefer JW Green.
Michael,
Vanilla & baking spice with a silky finish. Fantastic on the rocks. Still good neat, but the flavors are clipped.

Rick,
Do enjoy it in a nice mix drink. Heavy spice on the front with some vanilla. Little burn on the way down, with a little clove.
guest,
Spice and vanilla on the front end of the nose. Palate was honey, vanilla and spice which lingered quite a while. Picked up some oak when I added a little water
Matthew,
Liked this a lot. Nose and palate were both pleasant and was an easy sipper. This is the right price point for this blend. Would definitely buy a bottle.
Mark,
Delicious and smooth. Great sipping whiskey
Andee,
Don’t care for the salty end notes. Fairly smooth. Can taste the honey/Carmel notes at the beginning.
SCOTT,
Vanilla, honey, and spice. Solid. Sips more like a rye than a scotch but very enjoyable.
Michael,
Spicy, loved it!
Ray,
Reminded me of buttery honey vanilla bread with some heat and spice.
VINCENT,
One of the best blend I ever tasted. What a charismatic spirit !
Dan,
Giftable. Chocolatey tone.
Matthew,
A spicy explosion! Delightful!
Kelly,
Lovely honey and nutmeg. Stellar blend.
Brian,
Light color and nose reveal very little up front. A smooth whiskey with vanilla and a floral taste. A bit of water opens up a citrus nose. Very smooth whiskey. You will be disappointed if you're looking for "spice in this tree", but very good.
John,
Enjoyed the caramel. Flavor really came through
Tom,
Sweet with bitter honey notes and a touch of spice off the finish.
Craig,
Too Smokey and lacked the spice I expected
Armando,
Very attractive complexity, great finish great scotch
Devlin,
Another great one from compass box, loved the honey spice and nice long smooth finish with hints of vanilla
Daniel,
Very light scotch, just enough peat.
Joel,
A nice slow sipper. Good complexity. Very strong for a blend.
Dwight,
Really enjoyed this scotch. Super spicy at first. Very smooth with minimal “bite”. Will definitely buy again.
Sruthi,
Too spicy
Michael,
Bit of spice and tang. Light and tasty
Dan,
I like the salty and honey mix. Like a snack mix, but in liquid scotch form.
Melody,
This was smooth and very well layered
Christian,
Very drinkable. Very smooth through the whole experience.
Zach,
Sweet and smooth, spicy notes don't overpower
Matt,
if you wanted rye, but scotch, this might be it.
i like it. first sip had a smoky taste that never resurfaced, would have liked more of that. nice flavors in the spice.
Sami,
I expected more taste
Aaron,
Honestly, not getting too much from this scotch. I was expecting a little more complexity. Flavor is a little spicy with some floral notes, nothing rich or oaky about it, as the package says.
Ian,
Smooth and delicious. Spicy on the front end but a sweet and earthy finish
Bert,
fine little scotch
Rob,
Enjoyed the honey and spice combo
Bruce,
Honey and sweet. Not spicy. Mild.
Ray,
Spice and salt are the most prominent flavors, some oaky flavors with a sweetness near the end.
Matthew,
Good balance and smooth no burn. Very nice for a nas
Victoria,
This was amazing. Sweet and mellow then a spicy taste after a moment. Like home! Warm and inviting
Kerry,
Smells and tastes flowery. Not super smooth and left and unpleasant coating in my mouth. Tastes forced, like they tried to hard to force flavors in and failed. I dumped the last sip.
Jonathan,
Nice drink, great for sipping inside while it's cold outside. Heavy wooded flavors, with spicy, semi sweet finish that cloys to the mouth for a bit after swallowing.
Stephen,
Really smooth, not too sweet, easily drinkable, maybe a touch of ginger feel. Definitely worth it. Lovely.
guest,
Perfect combination of Spice and sweet
Stephen,
I love the sweet and spicy smell of this whisky. The first 10 minutes of pouring it into my glass I just sniffed it taking in the notes of honey and spice and feeling relaxed. Once I started drinking it I was not disappointed by the taste! I love a good whisky that warms me from the inside and Spice Tree did that. This drink is smooth starting off sweet and leaving a tangy taste in my mouth. I'm going to enjoy this bottle!!
Krist,
Deliciously smooth... a fantastic scotch straight up, on the rocks, or my favourite with a splash of warm water.
Joseph,
Soft start, bold salty finish. Decent flavor and would buy again.
Geoff,
Warm, honey, vanilla. I will enjoy this bottle from beginning to end.
Gareth,
Very nice and light.
Alex,
Not bad, I feel like this opens up after a while. Initial impression was too light and not enough time in the barrel, but after letting it sit for a bit and then linger on the tongue it got deeper and more complex. I'm not a huge fan of "butterscotch", which is where I feared this was headed, but this veers more in the direction of honey and vanilla and has just enough spice to round things out. For the price, definitely worth it.
Antti,
It is a classic, rich, Blended Malt Whisky with a rich & aromatic birth; while a delicate & rich life; that leads to a speedy & spicy death with notes of nutmeg.
Alex,
A delightful tang!
Odd as that may sound, the spiciness is delightful! Definitely noticeably, but not overpowering. A wonderful whisky, and a must try for any who love a peated, spicy one. Gambled and bought it without sampling, but glad I did!
Amber,
Not as peaty as I’m used to. Little bit of a burn. Had better for the price
Thomas,
Super disappointing. The description here may say the nose has aromas of malt but the taste is more reminiscent of straight up spicy grain alcohol. Drinkable, but no balance like I expect from a blend. You could get the same experience from a very young whisky. I'm honestly not familiar with the 3 malts blended to make this whisky but if the end result is indicative of their single malt versions you couldn't convince me to buy a bottle of any of them, sorry.
Kirk,
John Glaser....... can do no wrong in my eyes!!! Amazing whisky!
Ryan,
Really interesting scotch that serves as a great after dinner aperitif.
Rebecca,
Wow, there's a lot going on here, all at once. Malted barley, cantaloupe, apple, & dates on the nose. All that plus... maybe fruitcake? when drinking. Velvet on the tongue, and a hint of smoke on the exhale. Fantastic.
Matthew,
If you kind of want to try spice or smoke, this would be a great intro. Great and easy to drink.
