Top reviews for Compass Box Great King Street Artist's Blend:
— This is my go to whisky for drinking on the rocks. Can't be beat for this price.
— Pleasantly surprised, had never tasted before, but enough indicators led me to this. This is the next evolution for me in Scotch. Smoky notes with tree fruits on the nose, goes the same on the mouth with added butterscotch and sweetness to end with a nice long finish. If this is anywhere near my favorite Irish Whiskey price point I am going to give this a 10. However, the cap came off the cork and I had to replace it with a spare I had on hand. For the $26 a bottle, hell yes!!!
— Long lasting slow burn. I get a lot of cream and vanilla from this one. Very enjoyable.

5/10: Fine at the ~$35 price point for drinking neat, but imparts odd flavors in an Old Fashioned. Double your investment and get Story of the Spaniard, Oak Cross, Spice Tree, or Peat Monster (only if you like peat). You'll enjoy it more and start to understand why Compass Box is seriously gaining in popularity and fans. (Feb 2021)
This is my go to whisky for drinking on the rocks. Can't be beat for this price.
Strong peat taste.
Leaning more towards a bourbon flavor. Vanilla on the front with a stronger alcohol flavor.
Decent for the price. It's certainly no Peat Monster.
A nice tasting scotch. I definitely get some butter from the nose along with fruit and coconut. The finish is pleasant and wholesome.
Quite good with a lot of vanilla
Fresh apple pie made with green apples and finishes with vanilla ice cream drizzled with caramel. With a price tag under $40 I highly recommend.
This blended scotch is the workhorse of my home bar. I use it in all my scotch cocktails and it makes a superior Rob Roy
This is a great blend at a bargain price! Enjoy in a penicillin or on its own.
I really wasn’t expecting it to be this good! It’s a sweet whisky, there isn’t a bite at the end, if Monkey Shoulder is your favorite blend, this is just as good. I don’t say that lightly.
This is a fantastic expression of a lighter style, with notes of honey and pear, without breaking the bank.
Not bad for my first Scotch experience. I like the blends and how they merge together and hit the pallet. Definitely a sipper.

Ok- a little smoke and spice.
Was not expecting this to be so good. Strong on the nose - some smoke and fruitiness, and quite sweet on the tongue. Finish is very pleasant from the sweetness. This is highly recommendable for the price. Also to be considered a far better "starter scotch" for newcomers than some others in the price range. Reminds me a bit of Glenmorangie 10
For the money, you’re getting a might fine whisky. It’s such a well-rounded dram that includes the smokey and spicy notes that are sometimes off putting to some. With this blend they’re tamed by the fragrance and flavors of some of the more brighter components, such as vanilla, dried fruit, and oak.
Not as good as I was hoping, far from terrible though.
Not my style
OK for a cheap Scotch, but nothing special. The most boring Compass Box expression I've had. Go with the Glasgow edition for a special treat.
I loved it, very smooth blend
Mild and subtle
Excellent blend at the price point. Well balanced and beautifully crafted. Perfect daily drinker. It's complex enough to be interesting, but simple enough to not have to think about it too much.
This is a nice easy drinking blend; kind of spicy and fruity, but I really couldn't discern any peat or smoke at all. I enjoyed it, but I've recently had a Duncan Taylor 12 year-old blend that I thought was much superior - and at about $26!
It was not bad, but would not buy it again.
Good blend. It was a bit more harsh than I expected for a $50+ bottle. I do enjoy this one very much on nights where I don't sample others. But on the night that I sampled Johnnie Walker Black, Gold, Platinum, and Blue along with this, I resolved that the cheapest of them (Black) best suits my taste.
Fairly disappointed. Decent on its own, but will primarily be used in mixed drinks. Won't buy again.
Great blend but probably wouldn't purchase again
The Flavour spiral is extremely accurate! This is an everyday drinker, it has enough going on to keep you coming back for another. I can't wait to try more from Compass Box.
Perfect blend of sweeter elements like vanilla with smoky/peaty hints. Will be going in the bar.
Long lasting slow burn. I get a lot of cream and vanilla from this one. Very enjoyable.
