There was a time when you couldn’t get Código Tequila unless you were one of the Los Bajos' finest jimadors who were in on the closely-guarded secret. Either that, or if you were George Strait. The beloved American country singer, also known modestly as the “King of Country”, has been a huge fan of the liquid long before it was available to mere mortals. So much so that he even wrote a song about it.

Código 1530 Blanco is the purest expression of that Tequila. Only the finest, fully-matured agave is hand-picked and carefully treated in the making process of this Blanco. The final liquid needs no resting to release rich flavors of agave. Earthy, mineral, and sweet citrusy notes are beautifully balanced in this 100% Weber agave Tequila.

Tequila is made from one type of agave, Blue agave. Each of these plants takes at least 6 years, more likely a year or two longer to mature.
If the Tequila bottle label does not state that it’s manufactured from 100% Blue Agave, then, by default, that Tequila is a Mixto (manufactured from 51% Blue Agave).
The strongest Tequila available for sale clocks in at 75% ABV (150 proof). This shouldn’t come as a surprise, but drinking huge amounts of this spirit is likely te-quil-a.
