Top reviews for Clynelish 14 Year Old Single Malt Coastal Highland Scotch Whisky:
― Really well balanced and nice
― This bottle can be summed in one word, drama. If there's one highland you try let it be this. Truly delicious, complicated. The sort of dram one wants to share, but not with anyone who will talk over it. There's a distinct similarity to a higher proof Glenmorangie. The melon and brine, definite highland notes. But there's a depth here. I hesitate to claim the taste of oak, ever, but here u think I understand. Charry, blunt, punching above a salty, sweet base. Let it set, and it will linger, and become sweet. That melon will take over and you could swear you were drinking a high proof white wine, were it not for a hint of...not to be that snob, but I swear it's leather. Truly magnificent. It doesn't note anything about chill filtering or color, if it is colored or filtered, the cask pulled version must be worth unspeakable acts.
― Perfect example of a grand highland. A little bit of smoke, bitter herbs, and rich butter. One of my all time favorites.
