A limited edition 23YO Blended Scotch puts the 'classic' into The Classic Cask.

The Classic Cask is a serious label that has adorned a collection of rare spirits of exceptional quality since 1999. Talk about exclusivity – their strictly limited single cask production never exceeds 700 bottles per barrel, each of them numbered. Both their small batch blends and single malts are aged in painstakingly selected ultra rare single casks. No chill filtering or similar mumbo jumbo here, this one's for the big boys who value purity. Each batch undergoes rigorous testing and tasting to ensure it's up to par. Small wonder, then, that The Classic Cask Whiskies have garnered numerous accolades including a 'Double Gold' at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Their 23 Year Old Original Cask Blended Scotch originates from several Speyside, the Highlands, and Island distilleries. All of these carefully selected casks of single malt were selected by master blender David Hallgarten and spent a minimum of 23 years in their original casks before being meticulously blended in vats for half a year. After some additional maturation and finishing of the blend, all 782 bottles of this liquid gold are ready to hit the discerning palate. Your move.

Is Scotch always Scottish? What do you think? Yes. The answer is yes.
Can Scotch go bad? Technically, an unopened bottle of Scotch can last forever. Air is the only true evil to Whisky; once the liquid is oxidized it is no longer immortal. After opening, as long as you store your Whisky in a cool, dry place, it will last another 5 years.
Categories of Scotch Whisky: Single malt, Blended malt (formerly called Vatted malt), blended, single grain and blended grain Scotch.
Single Malt Scotch Whisky is made in Scotland using a pot still distillation process at a single distillery, with malted barley as the only grain ingredient. It must be matured in oak casks in Scotland for at least three years (most Single Malts are matured longer, though).
Whisky or Whiskey? The spelling differs geographically. In Scotland, Japan, and some other parts of the world, distilleries usually spell it Whisky; in Ireland and the USA, they spell it Whiskey.
Whisky distilling goes way back to 1494 when the first recorded batch was made by a posse of monks who acquired about 60 gallons of barley and decided to turn it into "aqua vitae". They created the first 1,500 bottles of Scotch in History.
