A contemporary twist on a 1800s classic.

Founded by Paul Cirka in 2014, this distillery strives to make the finest Whisky in Canada. In the meantime, they also produce other fine white Spirits. Quebec's first grain to bottle distillery and one of the first in Canada, they’ve won several international awards and they’re known for producing some of the finest craft Spirits, especially Whisky.

Cirka Navy Strength Gin is a contemporary twist on the 1800s favorite of British Navy officers. It offers boosted citrus notes with sweet orange and lemongrass and it’s finished for two months in corn Whisky barrels, which means more roundness. Bartenders adore it and if you’re into drinks like Negroni or other Gin-forward classics, you will, too. No wonder this one was the Country Winner at 2021 World Gin Awards and Gold Medal Winner at 2020 Gin Master.

We invented Flavor Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.

Juniper berry is the main ingredient of Gin. They are usually picked wild by independent workers throughout Europe and sold via distributors to Gin makers worldwide.
It’s a common myth that Gin is a tear-jerker. Of course, drinking too much of it will make you feel awful the next day, but that’s the same with any alcohol.
As producers try to develop new styles and flavors of Gin, to push the category and find a niche, the need for trying new methods of extracting flavors, as well as using more unusual botanicals, has grown.

One such way is the vacuum distillation method, when the redistillation of botanicals takes place in a vacuum.
Hardcore Gin lovers say the word Martini should never be preceded by Vodka, lobster, or pomegranate. They say the original and the only real Martini consists of Gin, Vermouth & olives, period!
How much Tonic is in a Gin & Tonic? The ideal proportions for a perfect Gin & Tonic is one part Gin and two parts Tonic.
Gin gets its dominant flavour from juniper berries. As with many other spirits, Gin was originally intended to be used as medicine. Yeah right!
