Character Goatson
There’s a block of red sandstone in Scotland that’s been used to coronate monarchs for centuries. It’s called the Stone of Destiny, which is also a cool name for Whisky. The incredibly rare 38-year-old Royal Salute from Chivas carries the moniker, and rightly so. It’s an eleven-out-of-ten Scotch that boasts a soft fruity nose and a palate that brings notes of malt, raisins, dark chocolate, allspice, and tobacco. We wouldn’t dare open it, but we also wouldn’t be able to resist!

Is Scotch always Scottish? What do you think? Yes. The answer is yes.
Strathislas was founded by men running from the waning Flax industry. Flax couldn't stay hot forever.
90% of all Scotch Whiskies sold are Blends.
First-class Whiskies are taxed not only by the state but also by the angels. This refers to the 4% of Whisky that evaporates from the barrels every year, a phenomenon known as the angel’s share.
Scotch Whisky is seldom aged in new barrels. Bourbon and Tennessee Whiskey casks are usually used for maturation. In addition to that, Whisky is often matured or finished in various wine casks such as Sherry or Port.
Whisky or Whiskey? The spelling differs geographically. In Scotland, Japan, and some other parts of the world, distilleries usually spell it Whisky; in Ireland and the USA, they spell it Whiskey.
