Camus XO Bordaries is five generations of French romance distilled into a bottle — just in time for Valentine’s Day.

In the early 1800s, Jean Baptiste Camus was a small, independent wine grower who distilled some of his harvest to sell wholesale to the larger, more established Cognac houses in the region. In 1863 he organized a group of his fellow vintners to create their own line — La Grande Marque Cognac. Over the next years, the Camus family bought out their business partners and have owned and operated Camus Cognac with dedication and love for five generations.

XO Borderies is the top of the line spirit from Camus Cognac. It has been called the world’s only non-vintage single estate Cognac. This means that everything takes place on site, from growing the grapes to distilling the spirit, aging, and bottling. The entire story covering five generations of a family in the French countryside is a romantic tale indeed. And that’s what this fine, award-winning Cognac tastes like — creamy, smooth, flavorful, and romantic with an aroma like floral perfume.

Smartass Corner: Borderies is the smallest, most exclusive appellation in the very heart of the Cognac region of France. Many consider it to be the finest region for Cognac spirits in the world.

The Flavour Spiral™ shows the most common flavours that you'll taste in Camus Borderies XO Cognac and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavour Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.

Cognac, named after the town of Cognac in France, is a variety of brandy (distilled wine). It is only produced in the wine-growing region surrounding this town. Cognac must be made from specified grapes, must be twice distilled in copper pot stills and aged at least two years in French oak barrels. Most cognacs are aged considerably longer than the minimum legal requirement.
