Character Goatson
A rare and special Irish malt built into a superbly aged Irish Whiskey with a deeply rich and chocolatey profile.

Bushmills is one of the most popular and enduring Irish Whiskies. Hugh Anderson registered the company in 1784 in the town of Bushmills and, after a few fits and starts, they have been in continuous operation and growing since 1885. Jose Cuervo purchased the Old Bushmills Distillery from Diageo in 2014, but those corporate blokes know to stay out of the way of Irishman crafting their Whiskey. Bushmills currently has six Whiskies in their core lineup in addition to special editions and releases.

"Crystal Malt" is malted barley that has been moved wet into the roasting drum without being dried first. This means that the grain is roasted with a moisture content of nearly 50%. The steam and longer heating time develops deep and rich chocolate flavors, but it takes longer, is more expensive to get, and has a lower Spirit yield. Bushmills Crystal Malt 23 Year Old was distilled in 1997 and placed into first-fill Bourbon casks, bringing out vanilla and honey notes to spare. This Single Malt dram is truly a rare and special treat.
