How about 400 years since the original license to distill Whiskey?

The Bushmills Distillery claims to be - and is almost unanimously considered to be - the oldest licensed distillery in the world. In 2008 Bushmills celebrated the 400th anniversary of the original license to distill Whiskey granted to the Bushmills area in 1608.

Bushmills 16 year single malt is matured in three different types of cask - American bourbon barrels, Spanish Oloroso Sherry butts and Port pipes - each of which contributes extra nuances to its flavor.

Drew,
This is one of my absolute favorites, and with the recent increase in price on the Bushmills 21, the 16 is the one where I always try to have an extra bottle on hand.

Kenton
Kenton,
Good, balanced whiskey. Relatively mild nose and flavors. The sweetness (the vanilla and banana flavors) and fruit does come out clearly. For a 16 yr old, I would have expected a little richer overall flavor and mouth feel, but it's very drinkable.

Ricardo
Ricardo,
there is no taste like this one the sweet at the very end reminds me of very expensive bottles that i have tried before a must have on a connoisseur

James
James,
Not quite as smooth as the 21 y/o but damn close. This offers a very strong fruit taste as it initially hits your tongue. Then gives way to a warm smooth whiskey taste. That familiar Bushmills flavor. Sláinte!!

Louie

Balanced and smooth. Currently working on 4th bottle. Going to need a backup soon.
