Top reviews for Bunnahabhain Stiùireadair:
— Smooth scotch and definitely not as peaty as other Islay scotches. Very good neat or a whiskey stone; I tried it with ice and it lost a lot of flavor. Great scotch at a very decent price for such a top rated distillery
— Very Good !
— Well-developed and full of flavor. You get the sweetness of the Sherry, but still have that Islay “punch”. This just sings on my palate!

This is my new go to price per performance scotch. Smooth with a hint of smoke and vanilla and toffee. If like smoke but don't want to be the only thing you taste.
Lovely notes of vanilla and toffee with a little oak. Very smooth. Winning whiskey.

Smooth and light with a bit of smoke
Pretty good overall; smoother than the other 16 YO, which surprised me.
This is a smooth, lighter scotch. It is a good beginner or a great gift scotch. A nice peat, smoky flavor that is not overpowering. Something you would share with friends that are not big scotch drinkers, but may want to start after having this.
Very smooth, especially when a small ice cube was added. The light peat flavor actually deepens and enriches the flavors in my view. An excellent representative of Islay.
Not a big scotch fan, but this was exceptionally smooth.
This has been my go-to for Islay Scotch. While I do love the others out there, this isn't as overbearing with the smokiness which I love. Has great flavor and just enough smoke.
This surprised the heck out of me. The original description said “ lightly peated”. Which intrigued me because I hate peat but I might like “lightly peated”. And I like!!!
Fruit notes and nuts in the nose. Very slight heat at first sip when straight. Ad an ice cube and the heat disappears, Bringing out those fruity notes. Loved it.
I was never a Scotch drinker till I tasted this. I now imbibe on a daily basis after dinner. Pure liquid beauty.
I'm not a Scotch drinker - but THIS! This is delicious! An awesome Scotch for a bourbon drinker! The perfect balance of sweetness with a hint on smoke! I love it!
This is delicious, not as smoky as you'd expect from an Islay Scotch.
nice balance of smoke and spice. a little longer in the cask would mellow this whiskey, but a great whiskey for the price
Very Good !
Really good tasting !
Awesome But subtle peat! Great tasting Islay dram, my first foray with Bunnahabhain and looking forward to tasting more.
Relatively smooth, but spicy. Wonderfully complex flavor, but balanced. No specific flavor overpowering anything else. Very tasty.
Love it. I'd never indulged in sherry-cask scotch before, and now I'm hooked. So many wonderful flavors, with a smooth finish.
Delicious. As a fan of sherry-cask scotch - I found this one to be very, very good. Not as complex as I thought it would be, but plenty enjoyable. More aggressive at the front, sweet and delicious. Finish is light. In its price-range, definitely the best if you like sherry-cask whisky. Try a bottle.
One of my favorites in the price range. Taste a bit like chocolate in a good way
Smooth. Easy to drink. Good “every day” Scotch
Well-developed and full of flavor. You get the sweetness of the Sherry, but still have that Islay “punch”. This just sings on my palate!
Very strong caramel coming through early on. Otherwise not super exciting but still a very enjoyable drink
This is very smooth and has a great after taste. The initial taste is subtle but then has a strong mixture of flavors that begin to appear.
Best I’ve tasted. Full bodied and well balanced. Very drinkable.
Seems to try to straddle the line between Islay smoke and Highland mild. Pleasant enough, but misses the mark for me. I’d prefer heavy peat or heather and honey, not an awkward blend of the two.
Starts out sweet and ends smoky. Very interesting!
Compared to the rest of the bunn’ label this is a bit disappointing but still a good scotch. Simple but not complex for the brand. Caramel but falls off on palette.
Very smooth and complex. Mellow and a touch of spice. I really dig this scotch.
I like it when Islay-distilleries release unpeated whisky, it often result in very good whisky. Just like the bruichladdich classic laddie this is just an very good unpeated Islay whisky.
By this distillery's standards I found this one a little disappointing if still ok compared to single malts from, say, Speyside producers which I am less inclined to buy.
