Really good stuff with a kick.

Average, enjoyable but nothing to write home about

Sweet and oak finish, a sharp aftertaste and burn

Surprisingly sweet and spicy-peppery finish with a silky feel on the tongue. A must have for every bar.
Brian,
Fantastic bourbon. Surprisingly smooth for something with around 62% alcohol.
Michael,
Top notch for me. It is easy to drink for sure.
SCOTT,
Excellent spice. My favorite Bourbon for an Old Fashioned or Manhattan. I love full proof Bourbons neat, but I have to be in the right mood to enjoy this one neat.
Michael,
I don't see the attraction. I think it's over-rated.
Edward,
Loved it. Smooth, rich with a nice bite.
Ric,
Bulleit Bourbon with an even better taste and kick!
Brandon,
This Bourbon is quite strong, at over 61% so it’s got a bit of a burn to it. It’s remarkably smooth for how potent it is. Really nice flavors in the middle. I’m quite happy with this one.
Greg,
Wow, great flavor profile, little hot and spicy on the finish
Brandon,
My favorite straight bourbon
Jay,
Rich flavors and warm Carmel after taste.
Rob,
Too much spice.. Heart Burn 🔥
William,
Good standard bourbon
Edward,
Too strong alcohol content, flavor is masked and not the best in the first place
Paul,
Very dependable. Nice in a cocktail or even on its own, near or on ice.
Alex,
A surprise to say the least from Bulliet. The caramel & vanilla are dominate amongst the flavor profile reign supreme but it’s made more mellow by the orange zest. The pepper & rye on the tail end give it a spicy finish that makes this a must try. Especially for fans for Bulliet’s bourbon!
Ryan,
Liking this a little less lately. Usually my mixer for manhattans
Chris,
Too complex for me
Brian,
Strong!
Matthew,
Appearance: Color is copper, decent legs... Nose: Smooth rye spice, mild sweetness in the background; ethanol as expected on deep inhalation. Honestly a little too tame for a high proof high Rye Whiskey... Palate: Rye and baking spice up front, with a little grain in the background. High spice, but low variety or complexity... Mouthfeel: Coats the tongue a little, before the ethanol drying starts... Finish: Baking spice mixed with Rye spice, aided by the ethanol drying.... Overall: Rye heavy, but otherwise pretty boring. Quite the let down for being barrel strength
Stephanie,
Too strong for me and my husband to drink strait ( we normally like a mixer anyway) so we used coke with it. Still a little strong for us but the taste is ok. Definitely has a bite at the end and is spicy. Not one of my favorites.
Nate,
A superior, easy to drink bourbon. Traditional taste, nothing fancy, just a great straight ahead bourbon...the way the originators meant bourbon to be.
Roland,
Hits the pallet with a bang and finishes with a smooth flavorful finish. The kind of Whiskey that puts a scowl on your face to let you know you're alive and an 'uh-huh' smile at the end.
Philip,
Deserves a better rating than 7.7.
You get several great whiskies in one based on how you take it.
Straight, you’ll get some caramel sweet notes, cherry, pepper and cinnamon.
Take a straight pour and rest it on the counter for 30 minutes and it will balance out and develop over time.
Add 10-15 drops of water and the caramel becomes milky and creamy, the mouthfeel becomes silky.
Add an ice cube and it smooths way out.
out, giving tons of vanilla and caramel and just a little spice.
I imagine it would hold up well in a cocktail as well.
The key to this one is to try it a few different ways, give it air, and decide how you like it. We liked it with a little water best.
Great value at $50.
John,
Over powering.
Daniel,
One of the most underrated barrel strength bourbons on the market.
John,
Sharp tasting, interesting. No lingering on palate after tasting - gone as fast as you taste it.
Matthew,
great on ice. solid
Mark,
Ok bourbon. Definitely get the spice from the rye.
Michael,
Complexity and heat! Ice mellows...yummy!
Jim,
An easy daily whiskey...
RANDY,
I like it better with ice. A lot of heat on the finish!
Marc,
A smooth drink.
Bob,
I bought this for my brother-in-law, a real bourbon connoisseur, about a year ago. It’s now his regular bourbon so it must be good.
Joseph,
I like this one a lot. Smooth full body.
Joe,
Much sweeter than expected
Jared,
Never thought I'd find a bourbon in this price range that I like better than Four Roses Single Barrel...But this stuff hits all the right spots for me!
Martin,
Love the smoothness of this ,
Brian,
I liked it a lot it was a tad bit hot but nice. Bullet never disappoints. Good sipping bourbon.
brandon,
so underrated. try it if you haven't
Robert,
Great bottle, really great taste for the price. I have limited exposure to Cask Strength bourbon (read this was my first) and I expected a harsher hit with a 120+proof. Pleasantly surprised, well worth it
Kristopher,
Solid and decent price
Michael,
I like it
Michael,
Solid bourbon for a solid price
Zane,
The pineapple brulee aroma is spot on. So unique and lovely. The toffee flavor is prominent for me with plenty of delicious spice. Would go great with a Heath Bar!
John,
It ain’t bookers but it’s half the price. Nicely spicy and reasonable smooth.
bill,
Great budget bourbon
Paul,
A little spicy. A couple drops of water loosened it up a little. Enjoyable!
Brent,
Smooth, easy to sip with subtle burn and smoke taste. Caramel apple with vanilla and a hint of spice.
Dan,
I enjoy the bourbon more than the Rye, which is how I first met Bulleit. a solid choice for a day-to-day glass of bourbon with a couple of cherries in it.
Charles,
Nice robust taste on the tongue, not too spicy, a step up on taste.
Moses,
Too spicy.
guest,
Its barrel strength......
Jake,
Wow, is this strong! I think I'll like it better with a bit of water or on ice.
david,
Absolutely delicious!
Nicholas,
Has a bite to it as you’d expect. This is my favorite Bourbon out there! Decent price for a LOT of flavor and kick.
George,
Very traditional taste love the aromas. Good for sipping or mixed drinks.
Jorge,
Nice deal for the true rye fan.
Spicyness from rye with sweet notes and orange zest.
Great for a casual night cap.
Chris,
Very good, spicy notes pop out quickly.
John,
Unbelievably smooth and very nice Smokey finish. Excellent for a 120proof bourbon
guest,
Very strong, but a smooth finish. Spicy!
Stefano,
Solid
Ryan,
Either you like barrel strength or you don’t. If you do, this is a great entry at a daily sipper price point.
Timothy,
This one is full of heat and lighter on spice with modest oak notes. Would make for a great cocktail upgrade and nice as a little more kick to regular Bulleit. A splash of water or a good ice globe will help it shine with flavor but the heat will get ya. I like it but it’s not as good as others at the price point.
Pippa,
Not bad but not one of my favorites. Probably won't order again.
Rod,
Good addition to any Bourbon Bar. Stronger than the other Bulleit bourbons and I like it!
Jernique,
Very strong and tastes great. I like the caramel and spicy notes. Very good!
Henry,
A very nice bourbon.
Logan,
Great place for
Rachel,
Great whiskey. Very strong.
Teresa,
I liked this a lot, more so than Booker's Barrel Proof. It is quite smooth for the strength. It is not an everyday thing but is a very nice if you want to kick it up a notch for the evening.
Benjamin,
It's a good kick-in-the-head whiskey. Not too much flavor that I recall and it had a heck of a burn afterwards.
Sean,
Very good. This is actually very well priced on Flaviar for once. Price in town is often $50-55 , but have seen as low as $40.99. Pick this one up to add to your collection.
