Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Brandon,
My favorite of all time. Smokey and delicious.

Grant,
Excellent
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Phil,
So THIS is what all of those peaty scotches were trying to do... The peat in this bottle, while strong, doesn't come slap you in the face and run away like so many others, it gives you a long deep kiss on the lips and makes itself at home.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte Scottish Barley
guest,
Absolutely amazing heavily peated whisky.
Bruichladdich Octomore 9.1
Heath,
Perfect blend of smoke and peat. Smooth and drinkable. Drink neat and with just a drop of water, the flavors come alive.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Jason,
This is a great peated whisky, less smoky than a campfire rye from high west, so it’s a nice balance of strength without the overkill.

Adam,
My new favorite peaty Scotch!

Balanced, smoky, peaty.

Amy,
Just lovely. Smokey peat smell and taste. Full flavor.

Piotr,
Honestly, I expected more. More depth, more character, more finish. It still very good peated whisky - and I love peated whisky - but is not exceptional. Nothing like Lagavulin 16YO for example.

Todd,
Excellent dram! Fantastic nose with a equally satisfying pallet. Rich smokey taste that lingers.
Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2010
Jackson,
Warm, bright and clean.
Bruichladdich Octomore 08.3 Masterclass

Smoke and peat :)

Colton,
Sweet apple with light vanilla
Bruichladdich Octomore 07.1 5 Year Old
Ivan,
Amazon whiskey. It is very peated as expected, but with a very rich, sweet malty base. Even sweeter than other bruichladdich non peated offerings.
Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2010
Ivan,
Incredible. Very malty, fruity sweet, ocean saltiness and cereal. It's probably my favorite. Comparable to bruichladdich the organic but sweeter.

Steve,
I learned of this distillery and peated whisky through a documentary of Bruichladdich and Jim McEuen and the area of Scotland. I have enjoyed many single malts and blends but was new to peated malts. I will say it is an acquired taste and does not do well with bitter or sour additions. The odd combination of lemon twist, however did make for a pleasant drink and had a nice aftertaste as well.

Brian,
Not sure if my bottle is defective… Definitely smoky… Wasn’t even on the flavor spiral
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Greg,
This is a great drink with a fun flavor mix with the peat. And oh the peat is very fine. Pricey by my lights for a daily dram but a great weekender. The flavor spiral is on target.

Brent,
My first trip into scotch. So good. Smooth with a sweet finish.
Bruichladdich Octomore 9.1
Erik,
If you want to get punched in the mouth with peat, this will deliver exactly what you want. But beneath the peat is some real depth of flavor with sweet and brine
Bruichladdich Octomore 10.4
Gary,
Huge nose when opening bottle. Notes of fruit, oak and leather and of course peat; this is an Islay scotch after all. Recommend some water to be added - bottled at 127 proof heat up the mouth quickly unless applying slight dilution. The the nose translates to the taste with added peat and berries. The finish is loooong. The downside is the price. I use Octomore for those very special occasions. For a more everyday enjoyment, I enjoy another Islay malt - Laphoroaig Cairdeas Triple Wood, using both bourbon and sherry casks. Great way to pass time while awaiting this virus to pass so I can go out and play some golf.
Bruichladdich Octomore 6.3
Timothy,
This is my absolute favorite bottle of Scotch. The flavor is Fantastic. The smoke level is so intense that it taste like nothing I’ve ever experienced. I would buy like over and over again.

guest,
Algo hermoso este single malt. Sorprende la fruta y chocolate bailando con el ahumado... desde los cítricos hacia las bayas! Final largo y reconfortante, definitivamente, una buena recomendación!

Patrick,
More depth of flavor than any others I’ve had at the price point. And a higher ABV (50%) doesn’t hurt either.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Dat,
Definitely peaty, and truth be told, not as complex as Son of a Peat II. Whereas Son of a Peat II was rated 8/10 because of its complex profile, I think Port Charlotte 10 years is worth about 7/10 as it is lacking the smoothness and pungency of the finish. I had the pleasure to compare this to the Port Charlotte MRC, and the MRC came out on top (8.5/10) even though it is only aged 7 to 8 years old. The MRC finish definitely cranked it up.

Robert,
Good - not great. A bit too peaty without much of anything else to balance it out.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
David,
Not necessarily my thing. Its not bad, its just a lot. You certainly get what you ask for when it says Heavily Peated. The finish is a bit harsh or rough around the edges if you will. Not for all, but I imagine if this is your thing, you love it.
Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie Scottish Barley
guest,
Easy to drink, salty nose, smooth
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Donald,
I'm in the minority here. It was just Ok A bit too complex, rusty, smokey with a harsh finish. Not a favorite. As a matter of fact, I finished the bottle over ice with seltzer water. MEH
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Donald,
Meh. A bit too woody. Not the best finish. A bit harsh going down. Very complex taste. Almost too complex
Bruichladdich Octomore 07.4 Virgin Oak
Becky,
This is like a bandaid that also makes you cry.
Bruichladdich Octomore 8.1 Scottish Barley
Piotr,
You have to be a poet to describe it. I am not one, so I will not even try.
Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie Scottish Barley
Wesley,
Peachy and salty. A great summer dram.

Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
guest,
Nice smoky, peaty Islay whiskey. Some underlying notes of caramel and black pepper. Nice lasting earthy finish. Noticed a little more of a floral taste with water.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Michael,
This is the best whisky I ever tasted! 🥃
Bruichladdich Octomore 08.3 Masterclass
Piotr,
I love this monster!!!
Bruichladdich PHD 2016
Paul,
Unpeaty, part of my Islay tour of all the distilleries. It’s a good one.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Aaron,
Excellent, maybe one of my favorites.
Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie Scottish Barley
Kayla,
Definitely a woody finish with phenols (but not really smoky!). It really gets very harsh if you let it sit in your mouth before swallowing -- to the point that it overpowers your ability to taste any complexity. The scent is very appealing. Oily mouthfeel.
Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie Scottish Barley
Jason,
Aroma of warm honey and salt. Sweet on the pallet with caramel and vanilla with a bit of heat on the finish. Truly great if you think about the price point.
Bruichladdich Octomore 08.3 Masterclass
Bill,
A peat bomb, kind of on the harsh side neat, but with a little water or ice it opens nicely and harshness subsides a bit. Interesting dram, but I think I prefer the more subdued(and less expensive) Port Charlotte release from them
Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie Scottish Barley
Carlos,
It is a nice scotch but unfortunately there is nothing noteworthy about it.
Bruichladdich Bere Barley 2008
Ivan,
lots of smooth cereal flavors. Got this in a sample and it's much better than the classic laddie and port charlotte
Bruichladdich Octomore 08.3 Masterclass
Patrick,
Very strong but still smooth. Prefer the 8.1 to this though.
Bruichladdich Octomore 8.1 Scottish Barley
Patrick,
This is the kind of peaty scotch people actually enjoy drinking. Better than the 8.3 in my opinion.
