I very much enjoyed this one
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated

Incredibly smooth, even though it's rich with peat.

reviewing the standard blue bottle labled as "the classic laddie" not sure what this one is

Excellent!
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Duane,
Port Charlotte' is my go to peat. Easy Drinking that delivers a satisfying Mossy Dram. Sweat Peat nose. Heavy mouth feel with wonderful caramel finish. I' prefer this over Laphroaig 10. Mentioning it in the same sentence with Lagavulin 16 is almost disrespectful to Lagavulin.
Bruichladdich Bere Barley 2008
Kevin,
Tastes like sea salt and honey
Bruichladdich Oirthir Gaidheal 1993
Zachary,
Laddie does amazing things with whisky. An excellent choice for a non-peaty single Malt scotch
Bruichladdich Octomore 9.2
Zachary,
Incredibly peaty but incredibly smooth.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
guest,
Tastes like woodsmoke but somehow in a good way. The strongest bite I’ve had that doesn’t taste even slightly medicinal, really encapsulates the fire of an Islay.
Bruichladdich 12 Year Old (2nd Edition)
Brian,
Perfect isla scotch. Petty but smooth with many other flavors.
Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie Scottish Barley
Jacob,
Big fan of this! Everything I love about Islay scotch without the Peat I dislike. Hope to find something else like it.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Sophian,
Sweet peat if you can sit through a blast of iodine-engine grease for a few seconds. Love it! Strong ABV merely focuses the essence of Port Charlotte's distillate.
Bruichladdich Octomore 9.1
Michael,
A force to be reckoned with. Had to wait a month to review to completely understand it...definitely have to work your way up to it but it is so smooth surprisingly with a nice sweetness. Gasoline never tasted so fine ;) love it

Joseph,
Pleasant Scotch
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Chris,
Heavily smoky, deep flavor tones that blend together exquisitely. It's definitely got a decent amount of heat, but unlike some liquors where there's a bigger medicinal quality to the heat - this one is a bit more like you are inhaling a smoky peaty campfire.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Zach,
First and foremost, the scent of pete will hit your nose before you pick the glass up, which is delightful. It definitely has a nice sweetness to it as well. However I disagree with some of the other comments about how smooth it is. Definitely seems a bit fiery to me, albeit enjoyable. Better than most, but doesn’t quite hold up to a Laga 16 or Laph 10. At the price point, you’re getting a better sip out of a Laphroaig 10 f’sho.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte Scottish Barley
Anthony,
Sip it neat very nice peat with some smoke a good scotch. Will buy it again!
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Scott,
Smootheat, smokiest, peatiest scotch ever. Definitely in my top 5
Bruichladdich Laddie Classic Edition 1
Sam,
Great balance of flavor and I can’t believe that it is unpeated
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
CJ,
Neat peat that stays through from front to finish. Not the strongest peat but a very rich flavor. Very smooth will keep you coming back for more.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Jonathan,
Excellent! Very nice peat; heavy but not overly so you don't feel like you are sticking you head in a campfire! One of the smoothest 10 year whiskies I have had.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
james,
I LOVE this whisky!! Laphroaig introduced me to the peat thing , and Lagavulin is exceptional, but this is other worldly. I have never had 100 proof ANYTHING that was this smooth. Exceptional.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Duane,
The only way I can describe this is Exceptional! Rich nose of sweet stewed berries and wonderful earthy peat is complex and alluring. Luxurious mouth feel leads to a burst of complex notes that you will enjoy chasing sip after enjoyable sip. With a 50% APV pushing the flavors into deep expression. I found that a drop of water brings out a more accentuated mouth feel of honey. This a permanent space on my bar.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Jason,
Absolutely wonderful. Really smooth start to finish. Perfect amount of smoke.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Chase,
It’s like if Islay punched you in the face and then gave you a hug.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte Scottish Barley
Alex,
The Port Charlotte project is a great success!! Incredibly Smokey and the heavily peated’s incredible! It’s enough to stick with you and follow through as you sip, but it’s not overpowering in a way that turns off a lot of people who avoid peated whisky. A new favorite!!
Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2010
Eric,
A wonderful dram, sweet but not too sweet, floral, and a rich mouthfeel. Bought two bottles as soon as I could find it.
Bruichladdich Octomore 08.3 Masterclass
Todd,
It lives up to the hype. It's a truly potent peated whiskey, and tastes of craftsmanship on every level. However, the amount of peat can overwhelm the other flavors in the spiral if you're not a huge peat fan, and the amount of peat can sometimes trigger heartburn. It was wonderful to try, and I'd certainly recommend it, but it's not something I would stock regularly in my home bar.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Aaron,
I really loved the smokiness. I will buy again.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte Scottish Barley
Robert,
Peat and smoke on the nose, not much of any smoke on the palate, the peat is there but still pretty soft all in all. Still prefer a Laphroaig 10 over this but was fun to try out.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
guest,
Not overly peaty, but just right!
Bruichladdich Laddie Classic Edition 1
Jonathan,
Strong green fruits from nose, to palate, to finish. Vanilla notes throughout. 50% alcohol so it smacks Im you in the face initially, the nose is quick strong as well. Long, smooth finish. 8.5/10

Bradley,
My favorite unpeated scotch, light and goes down smooth.
Bruichladdich Octomore 9.3
Navdeep,
Wonderful peach juice nose. Explosively salty on the pallete, in a good way. Strong smokey finish.
Bruichladdich Octomore 07.3
Tristan,
If there is a better scotch, I haven't had it. God dram.
Bruichladdich Black Art Edition 06.1
Jon,
I loved this, the smoke is light compared to the rich fruity overtones. Much less smoke I felt than 5.1 and more body. It has a sweetness that washes over with a crisp fruity hint of Pineapple that was most prevalent for me. I'd love to buy 6 bottles but alas it's pricier so one or two will do!
Bruichladdich Octomore 9.1
Melynda,
Very savory and meaty. A real smoke bomb that you can smell across the room. Not overwhelmingly dry, but has a great acidity that leaves you able to enjoy more.
Bruichladdich Octomore 9.1
Andrew,
Holy shit...if you like drinking a campfire, this is it.
Bruichladdich Octomore 9.1
Charlie,
Smoke is through the roof, with a strong peatiness
Bruichladdich Oirthir Gaidheal 1993
Troy,
One of my favorites
Bruichladdich Octomore 08.3 Masterclass
Jose,
Really Smokey flavour at the end, but at the same time with a vanilla flavour.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 Year Old Heavily Peated
Jon,
My new favorite peated scotch! I was expecting punch-in-the-mouth peat flavor from the name, but Port Charlotte isn't like that. The sherry finish is a perfect pairing as well. All around a very smooth dram that hits on all my favorite classic scotch flavors.
Bruichladdich Port Charlotte Scottish Barley
Alex,
One of my go-to scotches. It's pretty affordable, and can hang in there with the standard islay scotches.
Bruichladdich Octomore 9.1
Justin,
After drinking this some more, I've come to appreciate it more. It's still a bit overpowering, but that's what you get with cask strength scotch. This is a great follow up drink if you been drinking other smokey scotch. Have a nice Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Ardbeg, or Caol Ila before drinking this to get your palette headed in the right direction.
Bruichladdich Octomore 9.1
Justin,
Is it good? Yeah, it's good if you like smokey scotch, but it's a bit of one-trick pony and it's hard to justify the steep price. If you want over-the-top phenol to the max, this is for you. If you want something more subtle and complex in the same wheelhouse, check out the Laphroaig, Ardbeg, Caol Ila, or the Lagavulin. If you want something smokey and over the top, but much more affordable, try a blend like Peat Monster, Smokehead, or Smokey Joe.
