Member Reviews and Ratings of Brooklyn Small Batch Gin
Bought this as a present for my mother and she said and I quote "this is the best gin she has ever tasted" and trust me she's tested some amount of gin
Just okay...flavor was too subtle for me to use in a martini...I think I mostly used it in making negronis...should've been better for the price...beautiful bottle though
Brooklyn gin is one of my two go to gins for drinking on special occasions. Very smooth and distinguished taste.
It's a good gin. Fresh and sharp however seems quite familiar and much like many other gins on the market. Not worth t he price point unless you're wanting a small batch gin.
Thought it would be better
Smooth and subtle variety of flavours. Evidently a great one for the wife. I prefer gin stronger but the smoothness of this found me reaching for a 2nd and 3rd check, confirm, hmmm, check again...
Excellent tasty and nuanced, an excellent and distinctive gin. It is refreshing and has a delicate sharp finish.
Great value for money !
Good bite that gin demands. I think there is just a little too much rosemary
Starts well, ends tasting like a New York sidewalk... or a tad too much rosemary take your pick
Very fully bodied gin, complex flavours. Definitely one to keep as a treat when you need it every now and then!
Perfect for a gin and tonic
Very good gin. Good lemon flavor. Like a limoncello but dialed back and not as sweet.
Flavorful on its own, well rounded from start to finish. It really shines in a G&T. Of the 3 in the tasting box this got thumbs up from both of us sampling.
sweet spice aftertaste not my favorite
A well balanced gin, suitable for drinks or a straight ricky. Good taste of juniper on the tongue, with good legs.
It is an outstanding, crisp, Small Batch Gin with a thick & slightly aromatic birth, while a rich life, leads to a to a long & mellow death.
Well balanced juniper with sweet and bright citrus notes mostly grapefruit with a longer finish than expected. Nice by itself or with a simple cocktail (G+T) where it won't get lost
Refreshing after a long hard day at work. From the moment you pop the top and the smell of citrus and juniper hits your nose you know your in for a real treat!
Pretty good, even for someone who isn't a huge fan of gin. Nice and mellow with some good citrus.
Delicious and refreshing. Crisp at the start and never dries out. Tasty!
Too fruity for my taste...
Very smooth and fruity
Juniper heavy but drinkable - great summer gin
Brooklyn Gin didn’t have that heavy turpentine flavor regularly associated with typical middle shelf or bottom shelf gins. The gin was a little sweet, had some nice floral notes, and finished smooth. It mixed well or straight on ice. My first gin purchase for over 20 years and I wasn’t disappointed. Would purchase again.
I just drank this in NOLA a few weeks ago. Have to say, if there is no Leopold Bros on site - this would be my go to!
Um, a REALLY heavy cork and metal cap. The cutting edge of taste is a bit of a shock but by the second glass it calms down. A bit. It makes a good gin and tonic if your tonic isn't mass produced. And it makes a strong martini. I especially liked it in a Vesper.
Hand cracked juniper berries and freshly cut citrus peels.
Love this gin. So smooth I wondered if I forgot to add it to a drink. Will stay in my bar from now on.
Gin is an acquired taste, like coffee. I found I enjoyed gin n' tonics in college, while most of my friends were drinking light beer. I graduated to martinis and negronis and am a gin man. This was the first time I tried Brooklyn Gin, and I loved it as a martini. It does have lots of citrus, which a bit of fresh lemon juice squeezed into the shaker really stands out. (NOT a lemon drop! Just a short spritz of lemon, really) I also enjoy Brooklyn's strong juniper flavors in that old bromide (but tasty nonetheless) Aviation. Use real Crème de Violet which you can easily get nowadays. But the icy gin and Marischino has a fabulous taste, and Brooklyn brings a full-bodied juniper shelf to hold the drink. Yes is has strong juniper... but ain't that what gin's about anyway?
Nifty taste comparable to Hendrix but delicious. Love the taste and the price.
Nice gin a little too much spice for my taste
Pretty good. Nice herbal component, little pine. Nothing special.
An excellent all around gin, with a lot of complimentary, well balanced flavors.
Tried this in Brooklyn back in 2011 at a liquor store where they were offering tastings. Fantastic gin with great aromatics and good balance.
It's simple, no-fuss flavor provides an excellent foundation for any cocktail. I love it!
Not too "piney". Had it simple with soda water and ice
