Uncle Flaviar picked out an oak bill just for you. What's an oak bill, you ask? Read on.

The aptly-named Infuse Spirits had its start in 2012 when Seth Benhaim began infusing Spirits in his garage at the age of twenty-five — becoming the youngest brand owner to ever win Best-In-Show and Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. He’s our kind of guy. While Infuse Spirits Vodkas and Bitters are infused with natural spices and fruits, their Broken Barrel Whiskies are infused with staves from other barrels of a variety of wood types — from Whiskey and Sherry to Wine, Single Malt, and more. They even use exotic woods like Mizunara and French oak.

This unique wood infusion technique results in their Whiskies not only having a mash bill, but also an oak bill. It's this oak bill that can also be customized using their Custom Cask Programs of cask-strength Whiskey. This is one such expression, with the oak bill picked out by Flaviar. The basis is their Bourbon Whiskey with a mash bill of 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley. After spending one year in new white oak, it's infused with staves from two types of smashed barrels. 55% of these are Barbados Rum casks, the rest ex-Rye. Tasty, spicy, and tropical, this is one tastylicious Bourbon.

Sure, Kentucky gets all the press when it comes to Bourbon. And with good reason—nearly 95% of it is produced there. But Bourbon can be made anywhere as long as it's within the United States. Just ask states with budding distilleries like Illinois and New York.

Yellowstone Bourbon has had several owners throughout its history, including J.B. Dant, D.H. Taylor, The Glenmore Distillery, United Distillers & Vintners, the David Sherman Company, Heaven Hill, and David Sherman (now known as Luxco).

Bourbon only needs to be placed in a new oak container for a few seconds to be called Bourbon. Fresh from the still and unaged Bourbon is called a White Dog. Recently, many of the larger distillers have started packaging this harsh, clear grain spirit for sale.
Bourbons have very prominent notes of vanilla, as American White Oak is naturally high in vanillins.
"Remember that iconic poster from World War II showing Rosie the Riveter as a patriotic American woman doing her part for the war effort? Well, hundreds of businesses did their part too, and the Bourbon distillers stepped right up with ‘em.

Distilleries all over Kentucky and Tennessee were re-tooled to distill fuel alcohol and ferment penicillin cultures to treat wounded soldiers."
