Top reviews for Broken Barrel Cask Strength Bourbon Whiskey:

— Insanely flavorful for the cost. This doesn't drink like 116-proof, loads of vanilla on the front and waves of sweetness through the finish. Hints of caramelized sugar, pepper, and mild dark fruit. Very interesting, glad I picked this one up. I'd be curious to try their other bottlings.

— Love it. So smooth coupled with the high ABV. What isn’t there to love?

— Great for your mixed drink, wonderful Old Fashioned base.

Robert,
Great for your mixed drink, wonderful Old Fashioned base.

Cameron
Cameron,
Hits your lips right away. Nice taste when it first hits your tongue. Strong at 116 proof.

James
James,
Gross. Tastes like if candy corn had an asshole. Tastes like what it is. A sourced bourbon made by guys trying to make a quick buck off of a pretty bottle and an ad campaign. “We don’t care how it’s been done for more than 200 years. We know better.” Maker’s Mark has a similar approach with its Private Selection and a much better product.

Kurt
Kurt,
Good not great. It’s better on ice. The flavors aren’t fake but they taste rushed. I got this as the quarterly “free” bottle. I wouldn’t pay for it.

Zachary
Zachary,
The buzz from this Whiskey is righteous off one 12oz mixer. The flavor is a bitter dry and bitter in some ways off the tip of the tongue, and ends warm. Mixes well and doesn't assault the nose.
