Synchronized creativity, bottled.

Genius recognizes genius, and so it happened that one day, Bowmore Single Malt distillery and Aston Martin, a luxury car manufacturer, both saw a glimpse of their own spirit in the other. Both are powerhouses in their field of work: hardworking, meticulous, dedicated to beauty, and birthing luxury into life. The first licensed distillery from the Island of Islay, Bowmore has been making Single Malts since 1779. Inspired by the raging winds, salty air, and the rocky environment it is built on and driven by the neverending process of perfecting their Whiskies, It found a perfect partner in Aston Martin, who brings the same ideals into carmaking.

Their second collaboration is the 22-Year-Old Single Malt which is the ultimate symbol of luxury. Master blender Ron Welsh and Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman joined ideas, experiences, and forces, to bring us this spectacular spirit: the perfectly balanced peaty and fruity Bowmore Single Malt, that was aged for 22 years in American oak hogsheads and sherry butts before bottled as ABV of 51.5%.

In 2007, an unopened bottle of Bowmore bottled in 1850, was sold at auction for £29,400.
During World War II, Bowmore was closed for production. But they opened up their dock and offices for a local squadron of RAF Flying Boats, for anti-submarine warfare operations.
They pump the left-over heat from the stills, into a special insulated piping system, and send heat to a local swimming pool built inside one of their older warehouses. They leave it open for public use.
