I’m definitely a bigger fan of more peaty Islay styles, but this is definitely tasty and a great value for an older scotch. Oak and plum on the nose, a sharp fruity sea breeze on the palate and a smooth vanilla finish.
Lovely balance of smoke and sweet with hints of peat underneath. Great wood notes come thru. Prefer best with splash of chilled pure water
Rich and smoky. The real sweet spot for Bowmore.
One of the truly essential single malts. Fruity, Salty, Smokey. Full bodied and delicious. A must own.
Really nice, the smoke is balanced and a smooth finish. I will buy again.
I love the way Bowmore balance the sweet, spicy fruit notes with the peat smoke in all of their whiskies (at least the ones I have tried) but this is one of the best I've had.
Very good but smoky up front
This is for the Bowmore 19 Sherry cask
Sweet smoke and chocolate. Dark, ripe fruit. Salt and spice. All wonderfully balanced and mellow.
Love it, basically a bbq in liquid form. It’s delicious.
Another Islay favorite. More controlled flavor than the Caol Ila 12. The age has smoothed out the flavors. Bowmore is quickly becoming one of my favorite distilleries.
Great for sipping!
Beautiful. That’s all. Buy it. Drink it. Less Smokey then all the known Islay killers. Sherry and smoke - my love.
Recommended by a local on my visit to Scotland and is always in my rotation. Love the rich smoke and slightly salty finish.
Smoked sherry !
There is nothing I can pinpoint that is negative about this Scotch, but nor is there anything uniquely memorable about it either (balanced and smooth). For less money there are many other options I would prefer as an Islay drinker.
Not my favorite- the port takes away from the peat
