Top reviews for Booker's Kentucky Straight Bourbon (63.7%):

— Another one of my favorites! I find the nose a little softer than others, but it’s not without substance. Then comes the hammer! The front is quite hot, with an absolute explosion of spice and notable sweetness. Lots of caramel and vanilla. Finish is sweet corn to syrup, with the spice lingering to fruit (mostly orange).

— This is the perfect bourbon! If it is too spicy add some Ice or a little water and opens up really nice.

— Smells of rich toasted sugar, initial mouthfeel is thick and astringent, warms into heavy caramel and vanilla, long finish blooming into more caramel.

Benjamin
Benjamin,
Not really a fan of this one. It's a bit too intense for my liking. The big spiciness isn't really my go-to for bourbon flavors...

Jeff
Jeff,
A lot of backend bite

Lewis
Lewis,
This is a perfect combination of spicy/punch and mellow vanilla flavor. The longer it sits in the air, the better it tastes. I added a few drops to open it a little and lower the initial punch.

Amazing

Robert
Robert,
Very nice with ice or water, the flavors really come out. Straight, it's too much.

Jon
Jon,
Really nice flavor,

George,
Literally burns your taste buds off... as someone who prefers to sip neat this stuff is hard to handle sometimes. There are much better examples of cask strength with better flavor and more controlled burn and finish.

Laura
Laura,
Harsh and high alcohol content to start, so it is one of the rare bourbons my husband actually prefers with ice instead of straight, but once you've pumped the brakes a bit it is quite delicious.

PAUL
PAUL,
This is a nice occasion sipping Bourbon, to be enjoyed over a conversation, neat. There is nothing subtle about any aspect of this stuff. The sweetness, accompanied by the spice & heat & complexity of its long finish, is intense. I always make sure I have a bottle in my cabinet.

Donald
Donald,
Not good!! Taste of camp fire like drinking a log off the fire. Very harsh to the nose and smoke infused. Did not care for this at all
