What the experience of premium Kentucky Bourbon should be.

In the winter of 1881, Albert Bacon Blanton was born into one of the first families of Bourbon. At the age of sixteen, he started work in the distillery as an office boy and fast became a leading pioneer in the development of Bourbon. Today, Blanton’s is a division of Sazerac Company — one of the largest privately held liquor companies in the world. They distill it in their Buffalo Trace Distillery, but make no mistake, Blanton’s is a unique, stand-alone brand with a focus on nothing but greatness.

Blanton's Bourbons are something special. Just look at the bottle! Have you ever seen such a unique shape in an American Whiskey? And the cast metal stopper of a Kentucky Thoroughbred horse just adds to the mystique. Blanton’s Gold Edition is normally only available in travel retail — you know, airports and such — so you might not have had it before. This is your chance. Blanton’s is the top-tier brand at Sazerac, and they never skimp on a thing. It has a beautiful sour mash of corn, rye, and malted barley and is aged in American White oak with a dark #4 char. They think that premium Bourbon should be bottled strong, so expect to receive the power of 51.5% ABV and a lingering smile.

About The Flavour Spiral

What does Blanton's Gold Edition taste like?

The Flavour Spiral™ shows the most common flavours that you'll taste in Blanton's Gold Edition and gives you a chance to have a taste of it before actually tasting it.

We invented Flavour Spiral™ here at Flaviar to get all your senses involved in tasting drinks and, frankly, because we think that classic tasting notes are boring.
