A classic seven year old that never disappoints.

It’s time to get your Dogs in a row! Ever since the Western Spirits Beverage Company introduced the Bird Dog brand in 2010, it has taken the flavored Whiskey world by storm. The fact that their drinks are absolutely showered with international Spirits awards doesn’t hurt Bird Dog either—quite the opposite—it makes the peeps there work harder and smarter in their pursuit of the ultimate Whiskey flavor. What makes their Spirits so yummy is the traditional barrel-aged Kentucky Bourbon that comes from a private stock made and matured in good ol’ Kentucky. Bird Dog follows a formula that never fails: real Bourbon, combined with a higher proof than most flavored Whiskies, with an addition of delicious flavors equals one mindblowing Spirit.

Of course, not all of the Bird Dog Spirits are flavored. They make a mean Kentucky straight, too. Their 7 Year Old Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey is an example of how—on occasion—you can’t beat a tried-and-true classic. Matured in fire-charred, new American white oak barrels, this selected batch clocks in at 44% ABV, teases with oak, caramel, and vanilla buttercream aromas, and flirts with your palate using flavors of honey-soaked sultanas and caramelized wood sugars. This seven year old Spirit is a proud winner of the Platinum at the 2021 SIP International Tasting Competition and Gold at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition in the same year, ensuring that what you drink is not only of excellent quality but tastes good, too.

Sure, Kentucky gets all the press when it comes to Bourbon. And with good reason—nearly 95% of it is produced there. But Bourbon can be made anywhere as long as it's within the United States. Just ask states with budding distilleries like Illinois and New York.
"Remember that iconic poster from World War II showing Rosie the Riveter as a patriotic American woman doing her part for the war effort? Well, hundreds of businesses did their part too, and the Bourbon distillers stepped right up with ‘em.

Distilleries all over Kentucky and Tennessee were re-tooled to distill fuel alcohol and ferment penicillin cultures to treat wounded soldiers."
Bourbon must be made from a grain mixture that is at least 51% corn.
Whisky or Whiskey? The spelling differs geographically. In Scotland, Japan, and some other parts of the world, distilleries usually spell it Whisky; in Ireland and the USA, they spell it Whiskey.
Bourbon rules refer to manufacturing methods rather than location. Bourbon must be matured in new and charred American white oak casks for at least 2 years. If the bottle has no age statement, the Bourbon is at least 4 years old. No coloring or flavoring of any type is allowed, and the mash bill must contain at least 51% corn.
Bourbon only needs to be placed in a new oak container for a few seconds to be called Bourbon. Fresh from the still and unaged Bourbon is called a White Dog. Recently, many of the larger distillers have started packaging this harsh, clear grain spirit for sale.
