Bang-for-the-buck goodness!

Berkshire Mountain Distillers may sound like a solidly English company, but they definitely are not. Situated in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, they produce many different spirits, including Whiskey, Rum, Gin and Vodka. Established in 2007, they are well on the way to becoming a very big name in the American Whisky business. This is the first legal distillery to exist in this area since prohibition. The company pride themselves on their artisanal title as well as their support of local agriculture and business.

Berkshire Bourbon is a young Whiskey made from corn sourced only two miles away from the distillery. It is aged in new fill American Oak casks and carries the sweetness of the wood from nose to finish. The body of this Whiskey is dense but rather fresh, with a burst of fruit and caramel. If you’re looking for a good bang for your buck Whiskey, then this is it. The linger is good and long, with that thick density coming through in the rich flavors that just keep holding on. The overriding taste on the palate is again, that thick caramel sweetness, but mixed with the malty corn and spices, there is a lot more to this Bourbon.

Robert
Robert,
My tastes run to the sweet side, so I LOVE this bourbon. Its sweet, full of caramel and vanilla flavors with just a hint of spice. I enjoy it straight up, and makes a beautiful Manhattan.

David,
Not for me

Ian
Ian,
I got this on the idea that it was close to Bulleit 10 year old. It is a far cry from any bulleit product. To me this has all the hallmark tastes of anverage bourbon. It doesn't taste great. It's perfect for making cocktails where all you need is bourbon flavor. If you going to make a bourbon heavy drink or look for something to sip reach for a different bottle.

Ruth
Ruth,
Might be my favourite bourbon of all time. I love blantons and other smooth bourbons with a punch and this one is awesome. It is also great for people who may not love whiskeys that much. Very tasty, not a burner. Would recommend.
