An impeccable Single Barrel, picked by the Flaviar community.

It takes a special kind of skillset to master the art of blending and sourcing the best premium Spirits around the world and the folk at Barrel Craft Spirits certainly seem to have it. Created in 2013 in Kentucky by Joe Beatrice who wanted to share his passion for unique, high-quality Spirits with the world, the BCS lads seek out the best leftovers there are and put them together to shine as their best selves. Award-winning stuff, we tell ya, with their Blended Bourbon for example single-handedly announcing the rise of the Blended Whiskey when it was awarded Double Gold at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The list of awards obviously doesn’t end there with Stellum Rye winning Double Gold at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Double Gold at the 2021 New York International Spirits Competition, Platinum Medal and the titles of "Best Rye Whiskey" and "Best Whiskey" at the 2021 L.A. Spirits Awards and scoring 94 points at the 2021 Ultimate Spirits Challenge. In 2021, Stellum Bourbon was awarded Gold medals in the same three competitions. It’s like okay, we get it, you make good Whiskey, right?

Has anyone ever told you guys that you have impeccable taste? Well, it was definitely on point with Stellum Single Barrel Bourbon Vega P1 Flaviar Exclusive. Picked out by the Flaviar community, it was distilled in Indiana with a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley. Aged for five years in new charred American oak barrels, this single barrel was bottled at cask strength of 121.62 proof in Kentucky in the summer of 2021. After light tobacco and ripe apricot on the nose, you’ll savor flavors of cinnamon streusel, caramel apple, and roasted banana.

Bourbon matures quicker than Scotch due to higher temperatures in American warehouses.
Straight Bourbon must be matured for at least 2 years. If a bottle has no age statement, it’s at least 4 years old.
At any given time, there are more barrels of Bourbon in Kentucky than there are people. The population of the Bluegrass State is about 4.4 million. Today there are more than 5 million barrels of Bourbon sitting in the rick-houses of that Old Kentucky Home. That’s nearly 300 bottles of Bourbon per person, or about 60 gallons each.
Bourbon Is a ''new barrel Spirit'': One of the legal requirements for Bourbon is that it only be aged in brand new oak charred barrels.
Bourbons have very prominent notes of vanilla, as American White Oak is naturally high in vanillins.
Bourbon was declared "The Official Spirit of America" by an Act of Congress signed by President Lyndon Johnson in 1964.
